Picket Post Mountain

Length of ride: 15 miles - Plan for this ride to take approximately 6 hours.

Difficulty rating: moderate. This trail offers different scenery and footing along the way. Some parts of the trail are nice and flat, others rocky. There are a few step ups, some climbing (but nothing steep) and a few small ledges but nothing too scary. This trail ride offers a few obstacle, just enough to make it interesting. Pack a lunch, we will stop near the creek for a lunch break. This is a long ride, bring plenty of water, a hat and sunscreen.

Passage #18- Reavis canyon , Arizona Trail

From Hwy 60 , traveling from Phoenix east to Superior, turn South at Picket Post Trailhead (Forest road 231) which is .4 miles east of milepost #221 and 5 miles west of Superior. Take Fr 231 to T and then go Left. Follow that to the parking area (approx .6 miles). These roads are fine for horses trailers
