After keeping Slim all Summer, we have decided that since our racing season is starting up and we won't have as much time to ride, Slim is for sale!

Slim is 8 years old, 16 Hands. We have enjoyed riding Slim all Summer long. Over the summer we taken Slim camping with us, he stood perfectly quiet tied to a picket line and was good in the rocks. Very quiet out on trails, he was ridden by a beginner level rider on a few different occasions. We have also Team Roped and Team Penned on Slim, he is ready to go as a Team Penning horse. This horse is very cowy, he will pin his ears and bite them on the back! Started Team Roping, perfectly quiet in the box, has a lot of rate, just needs to be finished.

Slim is extremely versatile. He could go English or Western and is a great all around horse. Slim is broke at the poll, and does not need to be ridden with a tie down. He is well broke, responsive, has a good neck rein, and is very calm and easy going. I have never seen Slim get too excited about anything. Does not seem to freshen up. Is not barn sour. Has very smooth gaits. I enjoyed riding and roping on Slim because he has such a nice smooth lope. Suitable for a novice level rider. $3000

Keno is very fun to ride in the arena; with very light cues he will turn, stop, change his gait or do whatever you ask him to do. I see a lot of potential in this horse, he would make a great gaming horse (rope, team pen, 4H, gymkhanas, etc.) and is also broke to drive (pull a cart). This horse may go English as well, with a little work to get him to collect and break at the poll. Not lazy, he is willing and has lots of forward motion. We took Keno camping with us over the weekend, he stood quietly tied on a high line (picket line) and rode super quiet. Keno was on his best behavior, and didn't care if he was first or last when ridden with a group of horses. Keno was ridden by a teenage beginner level rider, with no problems.

Rides real honest, not barn sour. Goes out easily by himself. Carries his head low out on trails like a western pleasure horse. Romeo has not spooked at anything so far. The first day here I rode him around the neighborhood and right down Val Vista Rd. He did not spook at anything, traffic did not bother him, nor did the dog that ran out and chased us! They don't get much nicer than this. He is sound. $4000

A cute little bay gelding that is super quiet and easy going! 14.2 hands. Awesome on trails, this horse does not seem to be scared of anything. Gentle enough for anyone to ride, but not a dead head. Walks out fast, will move up into a trot or lope easily if you ask him too. Very well broke, good neck reins, lope nice circles, takes his leads. Great disposition, very easy going. This horse was ridden by a 7 year old girl on the 3 hour ride in the San Tans. Noah was perfect! Don't miss out on this horse, he is a good one. Well broke, light neck rein, great stop, stands quietly to groom, bathe, shoe and tack up. Good disposition, very willing, not barn sour or grumpy. Does excellent on the trail rides we have been taking in the San Tans and at Goldfield. Stays very quiet, doesn't care if he is first or last with a large group of horses. Cream also will walk on the trail, doesn't try to run up hills like many horses do. Suitable for a novice level rider.

"BROWNIE"

Sold 3/17/2005

7 years old, 14.3 hands. This horse is very well broke, has an excellent neck rein. Very easy to control, rides real honest and goes where you point him. I have been riding this horse out & around the neighborhood, even next to a busy street and he has not spooked at anything. This horse is a pleasure to ride, he walks out fast and is not lazy. Very willing. Excellent trail horse, yet has enough athletic ability to work as a team penning or gymkhana/4H horse. Fun to ride. Gentle enough for a beginner, but better suited for an advanced beginner/novice rider (since he is not a dead head and moves out into a lope fairly easy.) No bad habits that I have seen so far. Stands quietly, ties, good to shoe, clip, bathe and tack up. He is friendly, and is not head shy. $2200

"STEEL"

Here is one of my favorites! 4 Year old Rose gray gelding. 14.2 hands. Steel was ridden on the trail ride at Goldfield by a 13 year old beginner level rider with no problems. This horse is as quiet as they get on trail rides by himself, around the neighborhood, or in large groups out in the mountains. Very well broke, good neck rein, no bad habits that I have seen so far. Don't be scared of his age, come see him for yourself. Look at how quiet he is in the pictures from the trail ride at Goldfield! $2350

Update on Steel - 2/29/2005 Natalie and I rode up to Tulies to have lunch and she rode Steel. We rode down Val Vista Rd, through construction, and had to cross the intersection of Ray Rd and Val Vista at about 3:30 in the afternoon. - For those of you who are not familiar with the area, we rode right next to a very busy street with all kind of traffic just missing us. Steel never spooked or got excited about anything. He was as quiet as a horse could be.

"JOSEY"

Sold 2/21/2005

As all of my friends know, I am not partial to mares, and very rarely offer them for sale unless they are exceptional. This is the 5th mare I have had in 10 years. Josey is a 4 year old ranch broke mare who is super gentle! She is 14.1 hands, and should grow a bit due to her age. She is friendly, easy to catch and stands perfectly quiet to bathe, groom, saddle, and tack up. Good to shoe, and loads easy. Very quiet on trail rides around the neighborhood, as well as in the mountains - Doesn't seem to matter if she is by herself or alone. This little mare has a good handle on her and takes her leads. This is the best pony I have ever seen! What else could you ask for in a kids horse?

Tri-colored Paint Mare! Valentine is 10 years old, 12.2 hands. VERY Gentle! She is friendly and sweet. This little mare is very willing and has a great disposition! Not grumpy with other horses. Valentine is well broke, she neck reins or direct reins, and will go English or Western. Has a soft mouth. Quiet on trails, very easy to ride. Lowers her head and opens her mouth for kids to bridle her. Stands quietly to bathe, clip, groom, shoe and tack up. It is very hard to find a pony with a good disposition, but this is a good one! He is athletic, sure footed, and good in the rocks. Walks out fast, and was great going up and down steep places. He will walk up the steep places, and does not try to run like some horses do. This horse has a lot of endurance and could go for miles. Coal seemed to enjoy the trail ride more that just riding circles in the arena. This horse is gentle for anyone but would be better suited for a novice rider, since he is so responsive. This horse is athletic enough that he would make a great gymkhana horse. He is very smart and learns quick. Coal is also very cowy, has ranch roping experience, and is good to team pen on.
