"NIKE"

Sold 12/23/2008

Awesome Trail horse, Excellent gaming horse!

This is a nice quiet horse with chrome! 7 years old, 14.2 hands tall. Nike is fun to ride, he's handy and moves out nice. He is responsive, not lazy, and very cowy! This little horse is an EXCELLENT gaming / gymkhana horse! - This horse does it all, Team Penning, Sorting , and Gymkhana events. Nike has been ridden by many kids ages 7 - 12 here at the house and they all love him! He stays real honest and doesn't fade to the gate with kids. He has a very light neck rein and is very easy to ride through patterns. Nike is Katie's first choice to ride, because he responds for her so well and has smooth gaits. This horse will bring home the ribbons at a gymkhana! With only 5 days of practice, Nike is running a 21 second barrel pattern, and is AWESOME at pole bending. He has the natural ability and it is easy for him. Nike had the fastest time of an event on Mountain Cowhorse which included a jump! Nike was ridden on the Poker ride at Usery Park with over 20 horses and he did great! Everyone that has ridden this horse really likes him. He loads and hauls great in any kind of trailer; I have even hauled him in a two horse side by side with no problems. He has no bad habits or vices of any kind that I have seen. Best suited for a Novice level rider, because he is forward and responsive.

UPDATE!!! I rode Nike December 1st on a Search and Rescue ride through McDowell Mountain Park looking for a lost horse. I have to say that I LOVED riding this horse! I rode Nike over 10 miles, through all kinds of desert terrain cross country the entire 10 miles. I rode up and down mountains, through washes and ravines, had to jump over washed out places, went through tons of brush, mesquite trees, thorny bushes and plenty of cactus. Nike stayed rock solid and was an absolute pleasure to ride! This horse rode off perfectly quiet, even when I left all of the other riders and rode by myself. He never so much as made a peep or even looked back for the other horses! Nike just went where ever I pointed him and never gave me an ounce of trouble. This horse stood perfectly quiet anytime I needed to stop, and was such a pleasure to ride. I was never worried at anytime today, even when I was miles away from everything out in the desert by myself. Nike never flinched when covey's of quail would fly up right under us, or when rabbits would jump out of the brush. This horse really has a good neck rein and a smooth little jog. He never once fought me today and really rode between the reins. I had the confidence that I could go anywhere on this horse and never was worried once. If you want a good minded sane and sound horse, Nike may be the one for you! $2850 Sale price $2650

Domino has been previously foundered and needs no special care besides to stay on a dry lot, fed grass hay only, and have his hooves trimmed on a regular schedule.

HUGE PRICE REDUCTION Sale price through Thanksgiving weekend $300! Will hold until Christmas.

"PEPPER"

A nice Appaloosa gelding! - Very Versatile!

Pepper is just 6 years old and will do just about whatever discipline you ask of him! He is 15.2 hands tall and rides English or Western. He is a quiet trail horse, would be a great gaming / gymkhana horse, he will go English and has been over a couple of jumps. He has been roped off of and used for team penning! You name it, Pepper will do it. This horse has quite the personality, he's an in your pocket kind of horse and is very gentle but not a dead head. We have ridden this horse on trails, roped on him, hauled him to barrel races, and team penned on him. The kids have ridden him at ESPBRA, Katie ran him for the first time and placed in the "D" class since she went too fast to fit in the Peewee's class. This horse can be ridden in any kind of bit, Katie and the girls that ride him English ride him in an o-ring snaffle, we use a tom thumb for roping and team sorting. Very ambidextrous, picks up both leads. This horse has never done anything wrong while we have had him. Never cinchy or offered to buck, no bad habits or vices, loads easy and hauls great. He is sound and has clean legs, has been ridden barefoot this entire time and look at how great his hooves are! Update! Pepper went on our 3 day Camping trip at Houston Mesa Horse Camp this last weekend, and he did great! He doesn't care if he is first or last in a large group and did excellent in the rocky footing. This ride was very rocky and had a lot of up and down hills, no problem for Pepper even with no shoes! I think Pepper would be best suited for a Novice (or above) level rider. Great horse for someone who wants a gentle horse with some get and go and personality! $2750

"DIESEL"

Started heading and working awesome. Very Versatile, do anything on this horse!

Diesel is super gentle and really well built. 8 years old, 14.2 hands. This horse is friendly and easy to catch, stands quietly for just about anything that you want to do. Great ground manners, not spooky at all. Rides quiet in the arena, out around the city and on desert/mountain trails. This horse is really laid back and easy going. He is started roping and will rope either end; more experience in heading. Stands flat footed and is quiet in the box. I have been roping on this horse and love him! He is real smooth to ride. An inexperienced roper could rope off of Diesel no problem; he's not too hot or chargy like some rope horses get. This horse rides awesome for me and I really like riding him; he is one of my favorites, and I will really hate to see him go. Diesel has tons of ranch roping experience behind him and just finished 60 days roping training. He may be short for a head horse but he's stout and pulls great. We will continue to rope on him and ride him until sold. We have done just about a little of everything on Diesel; he's been trail ridden in the mountains, been on camping trips, tied on picket lines, rode around the neighborhood, and hauled to barrel races and fun days. Kaitlyn rode Diesel at ESPBRA barrel race on August 22nd and won second place on Diesel in the peewee barrel class! This was only Kaitlyns second time riding Diesel, and Diesel had no prior barrel experience! This is the kind of horse that is broke enough that you can do just about anything on. I think he may take advantage of a timid or inexperienced rider. He is totally gentle for a complete beginner, they just need to be confident enough to point him in the right direction. $4500

Update! We took Diesel on our 3 day camping trip at Houston Mesa Horse Camp this last weekend, and he was ridden by a complete beginner level rider! With only 1 riding lesson, Corinna was able to ride Diesel everywhere we went, in the rocky terrain, up and down hills, and he did excellent! This horse is really quiet, laid back and easy going. Corinna even rode him on a moonlight trail ride!

"JJ"

A cute Roan gelding!

Video of JJ on our camping trip!

JJ is a super nice little horse that rides great. He is 10 years old and 14.3 hands tall. He is a friendly horse that is easy to catch and likes people. He has great ground manners and stands quietly to do just about anything to. He ties and has never pulled back. Not spooky. Stands quietly to bathe, clip, trim, tack up, and groom. JJ has great hooves. He has been barefoot since I have had him, he even did just fine on our camping trip without being shod. He is well broke and very well behaved. He is gentle for anyone to ride, but is not lazy and will move out easily if asked. He walks out fast and has a nice trot and lope. I would suggest a confident novice level rider since he is responsive and forward. $2500

DJ also is a finished head horse that stands quiet in the box and has a lot of rate. This horse is ready to take you to the pay window! We have cattle at the house, come watch him work. A super nice horse that is versatile enough to be a jam up rope horse or just a quiet trail horse. Very gentle but responsive; suitable for novice level riders. "BAILEY"

Sold 9/3/2008 congratulations to Amelia, Blythe, CA

A good ol' honest horse!!

Bailey is a nice quiet well broke gelding that anyone can ride. He is easy to catch, stands quietly to groom, bathe, clip, and tack up. Bailey rides quiet in the arena as well as out on trails. Bailey was ridden by an adult beginner level rider on our moonlight trail ride and he did perfect! Bailey is just a good ol' honest horse that has been there done that. He would make someone a great pleasure horse. He rides great for both kids and adults; stays honest and hasn't tried to take advantage of inexperienced riders. He is kind and get's along with other horses well. I am unsure of this horses age, this one is a little hard for me to mouth. He is smooth mouth and is an aged horse; I will update the site after a vet estimates his age. He is suitable for beginner level riders. $3000

"TANGO"

Sold 9/10/2008 Congratulations to the Duplans, Silverthorne, Colorado.

Awesome little Buckskin gelding!

13 years old, 14.1 hands, 900 lbs. This is a real sweet little horse that is fun to ride. He is forward moving and has smooth gaits. Tango is one of my favorites to ride, he has a good disposition and is eager to please. Very gentle, but not a total dead head. Tango moves out into a trot and lope very easy so at this point I think he would be best suited for a Novice level rider; he may be too forward for a beginner level rider. I rode Tango on our moonlight ride and he was excellent. There were 21 horses on this ride, and even though I mainly led the group Tango was also fine ridden anywhere in the group. He did great in the rough terrain, he is sure footed and went up and down the hills no problem. Tango does a great job staying on the trail and watching where he is going. I really like this horse and would highly recommend him. I have put numerous kids on Tango and have noticed that he rides great for them! Tango stays very honest, doesn't try to cheat you and fade to the barn, he's not barn sour or buddy sour. This little horse is one of my favorites; he's the kind that makes riding fun because he just goes wherever you point him and is smooth to ride. He has NO bad habits and is just a solid little horse that everyone likes to ride. $3500

"DRY AS SMOKE"

aka "MOJO"

Sold 9/2008 Congratulations to Cliff geddis, California

2002 Sorrel gelding AQHA Registration #4359672

MR GUN SMOKE & DRY DOC on his papers!

Awesome, awesome, awesome!

Mojo is a super nice gelding with tons of professional training. He is 15.2 hands and tapes at 1300 lbs. He was raised on a ranch in Spanish Fork Utah, and owned by Horse Breakers Unlimited in Dewey, AZ. This horse has it all, size, confirmation, disposition, and tons of reining training. He will do it all, slide stops, pivots, side passes and is really soft in the bridle. Takes his leads and does flying lead changes. Nice little low Western Pleasure headset, smooth little jog and a nice comfortable lope. All this and he is super gentle! The thing that impressed me most, Mojo was unridden for 8 months and he still rode the same with NO round penning! I have taken him camping, no problems on a picket line. Doesn't care if he is first or last in a large group and rides really quiet and gentle. I have ridden Mojo bareback out on a 5 mile ride cross country through the woods with no problems! He will easily cross water, and does well in rough terrain. Mojo is a real sweetie, he is friendly and likes people, stands quietly for everything. Don't think this horse is too responsive if you are an inexperienced rider, this horse is really laid back and easy going. He is really responsive in the bridle, but not too forward - almost a little lazy. He would be suitable for an advanced beginner rider all the way to a pro. Very versatile, and would excel in the show ring and or just about any discipline. Awesome trail horse; you don't find many that are this quiet and gentle, you would never know that he is only 6 years old. He gets along with other horses very well and hasn't been mean to any of the others. He is up to date on shoeing, vaccinations, deworming, and dental. A super nice horse. $6500

"ROANIE"

Sold 9/3/2008

Congratulations to Remuda Ranch

7 years old, 15.1 hands

Roanie is a nice young gelding that rides real quiet and gentle. He is easy to catch, has great ground manners and stands quietly for just about anything you want to do. Good to clip, bathe, groom, tack up and stands still for mounting. Roanie rides fairly quiet around the neighborhood, and was excellent on our moonlight trail ride. We had a group of 21 riders on the moonlight ride and Roanie was ridden by a confident beginner level rider with no problems. He doesn't care if he's first or last on a group ride and is very laid back and easy going. I would like to see a Novice level rider purchase this horse, someone who can keep him pointed in the right direction. He is still a little rusty on arena work and picking up his leads, but is coming around fast. He is starting to lope nice circles and is willing to learn. This is a real nice horse, he's a true ranch broke gelding. Roanie has a lot of cattle experience and would make a great team penning or rope horse prospect. He is started heading and coming along nicely. This is a super nice quiet horse that is good to look at and easy to ride. $3500

A cute little Sorrel gelding! Great little trail horse.

Wyatt is a sweet little horse with a good disposition. He is 8 years old and 14.1 hands tall. He rides very calm and quiet in the arena and out on trails. He is easy to catch, and stands quietly to bathe, groom, tack up and mount. He has a good handle on him and rides quiet in the arena and out on trails. Rides honest and doesn't give you any trouble. We took Wyatt on our trail ride at Spur Cross on April 6th, 2008. He did great in the large group of horses, didn't care if he was first or last in the group. Did well in the rocky terrain, had no problems even though he was barefoot. Crossed the streams without any trouble and was a pleasure to ride. He loaded into my trailer and hauled great. Wyatt is a real gentle little horse, I have ridden him out around the neighborhood bareback with a halter. He is gentle, but not a total dead, moves out into a trot or lope easy. I would suggest a novice level rider for him, because he is forward. $2500

"HARLEY"

Sold 7/22/2008

Congratulations to the Emanual's, Gilbert, Az

A super nice horse! 8 years old, 15.2 hands

Wow, take a look at Harley! This is the kind of horse that doesn't come along very often. Harley has it all, confirmation, disposition, athletic ability, and he's gentle! This is the kind of horse that will make someone a nice pleasure horse, or make someone a super rodeo prospect. Harley is a true ranch raised horse that has had tons of cattle experience and it shows. Very cowy, couldn't ask for a nicer team penning horse. We have started arena roping on Harley and started him on the barrels. Harley shows as much natural talent and ability on the barrels as any horse I have ever seen. The video above was taken on Harley's 3rd day on the barrels. On top of his athletic ability, he is very gentle and really well broke. Has a great neck rein and awesome brakes. He lopes nice circle and picks up his leads, very fun to ride. Harley is a friendly horse, he's easy to catch anywhere, get's along with other horses well. Has great ground manners, ties well. Stands quietly to bathe, groom, shoe, tack up and mount. Rides quiet both in the arena and out on trails. Harley went on our camping trip at Woods Canyon Lake and did great! He stood quietly on his picket line and rode great in a large group or a small group. Harley will go wherever you point him, doesn't care if he is first or last in a large group. He will cross water, logs, you name it, he will do it. Suitable for a novice level rider for walk trot and trails; better suited for an intermediate level rider for arena work and speed events since he is so forward. This horse is the kind just tries to please you and do whatever you ask of him. $4500 Sale price $3800!

He is a real pleasure to ride and always tries to please me. He really rides between the reins. I see a lot of horses in my business and Oreo is one of the great horses that are hard to find. I never have to train or tune on him, he rides great every time. This horse has really blossomed while in my care; he's gained weight and his coat is gorgeous. This is the kind of horse that you can do anything on. Rope, team pen, gymkhanas; an awesome trail horse. Oreo is a ranch horse who has had tons of cattle experience, you can rope either end on him. Perfectly quiet in the box, scores great has some rate. He is very well broke, has a great neck rein and is easy to ride. Super smooth little jog. He rides real honest in the arena, doesn't fade to the gate. He picks up both leads and lopes nice circles. He is super quiet out on trails and is NOT spooky. Not a loving pet type horse, but he's all about business under saddle. He was a little ranchy when I first got him, but he is getting a bit more friendly all of the time. This horse has no bad habits or vices. He is fun to ride, not to lazy has just enough get up and go if you ask for it. The kids have both ridden Oreo at East Side Progressive barrel race and with no prior barrel and pole experience they both placed in both events. Oreo was ridden by Chelsey who is an advanced beginner level rider. He did great in the rough terrain and didn't care if he was first or last in a large group. I rode Oreo myself bareback on a couple of rides and he was perfect. Oreo would also ride off by himself with no problems, and didn't act buddy sour. You can pony other horses off of him, and he rides rock solid on trails. Need to ride by traffic? - Not a problem for Oreo! He will go anywhere you point him, through water, over logs, you name it he will do it. Best suited for a novice level rider , since he's not lazy and is fairly responsive. A real nice horse. $3500

"NUDGE"

Sold 6/24/2008

Congratualtions to the Yungs, Apache Junction, AZ

Sorrel gelding 10 years old, 15 hands tall. Goes real nice English or Western!

UPDATE on Nudge! This horse was here on consignment. He's a gentle and friendly horse that easy to catch and likes people. He rides quiet in the arena and out on trails with other horses. - However, I haven't updated the site about this horse and haven't really tried to sell him because he has rode barn sour if you go out alone on trails. He has tried to turn around and come back, thus he doesn't fit my program. Nudges' owners have moved and no longer have horse property and do not have a place to keep him. I will accept any reasonable offer on Nudge as long as he will go to a good home. He's a nice arena horse, he's one of little Katie's favorites to ride. I have been around this horse for approximately 3 months. He has been hauled out to ESPBRA and was fine around all the commotion and never did a thing wrong.

Prior owners paid $2200, motivated for quick sale $1000!

He will move out into a trot or lope only if you ask him to, but is too laid back to make a speed event gaming prospect. He will however wake right up if you want to work cattle or rope! He is a rock solid trail horse who has been there, and done just about everything. I like Calvin because he's the kind of horse you can put any level rider on and never have to worry - Mom, dad, the kids, even grandma & grandpa can ride this guy! Smart Little Lena, Doc O' Lena, & Dash For Cash on his papers!

Awesome all around horse!

I love this horse! This is a super nice and fancy broke gelding. He's gentle, athletic and has a great disposition. A one owner horse, he was bred, raised and trained and owned his whole life by the breeder. He was was bred, trained and raised to be a cutting horse. Has tons of training behind him, but just didn't make a show quality cutter. Awesome arena horse; lopes nice circles in the arena, picks up both leads, sidepasses, a pro at opening gates, been used on a ranch and in the feed yard. He is started heeling and working awesome. Very quiet in the box. He will really sit down and stop. The guys that rope on him all call him "Radar" because he is so cowy he really locks on to one! This horse is super gentle, and is enough of an athlete to do any discipline you ask of him. Very broke at the poll, he will bridle up and go English as well. No bad habits or vices, and a great disposition. Stands quietly to bathe, groom, clip, shoe, tack up and mount. Never tries to cheat you, not barn sour or buddy sour. Friendly with great ground manners. A super nice horse that anyone would be proud to own. $5500

He is very eager to please, and very obedient. He is not spooky at all and is very quiet on trails rides by himself, or with other horses. He is very easy to ride and has a light neck rein. Not to lazy, and not to slow - walks out nice and moves out into faster gaits only when cued. Has a nice smooth lope and will pick up his leads. "SKYLAR"

Sold 5/3/2008

Congratulations to Sonja Kirk, Tonto Basin, AZ!

Skylar is 15.1 hands tall and 18 years old. He is a very kind horse that just tries to please. Skylar has been here for about 2 months now and always rides really gentle. Katie (the little girl in the pictures) is pretty much the only person who rides Skylar. I trust him not to freshen up if he is not ridden for a couple of weeks, he always rides the same. Skylar is the kind of horse that you can just jump on bareback with a halter, or let anyone ride him. He is a bit of a timid horse and is very sweet. He is very well broke, Katie just rides him in a little o-ring snaffle. He is a great arena horse, takes his leads and will do flying lead changes. I have hauled Skylar to the ESPBRA barrel races over the last two months and Katie has won money on him in both barrels and poles. Katie has done all of Skylars barrel racing and pole training herself. He is a very willing horse and is never grumpy or grouchy. He rides very honest and is not barn sour or buddy sour. Stands quietly to bathe, groom, tack up and mount. He has great hooves and is currently being ridden barefoot with no problems. Don't be scared of this horses age, he has totally clean legs and shows no signs of arthritis. He is sound and moves very free. This horse will last many years to come. Suitable for a confident beginner level rider if you are riding out on trail alone, suitable for complete beginners if you are riding with other horses. This horse does not load in a two horse straight load trailer. He loads easily in a stock trailer or a 3 horse slant. Skylar was just vet checked and did pass a pre-purchase exam including all flex tests by Dr. Chatham. His age was verified by the vet and was thought to be 17 - 18 years old. $2350

Update! Skylar was ridden on our trail ride at Spur Cross on April 6th, 2008. He was absolutely perfect and had no problem on the long rocky ride - even barefoot! Skylar is a nice little horse, doesn't care if he is first or last in a group of horses. Did great at all the water crossings. He loaded easily and hauled great in my stock trailer.

NEW pictures of Houdini below! He's starting to shed that winter coat and get that pretty golden color!

"HOUDINI

Sold 4/12/2008

Congratulations to the Nobles, Golden Valley, AZ!

A big, pretty Palomino gelding!

NEW Video!

Houdini is a super nice Palomino gelding that is 14 years old, 15 hands tall, and weighs 1200 lbs. He is very gentle, has great ground manners and a personality to match. He is easy to catch, ties, stands quietly to bathe, groom, shoe, clip, and tack up. He loads and hauls great. This horse is not spooky at all and is solid on trails. I love riding this horse because he can really travel and walk out fast. He is well broke, and has a good handle on him. This is the kind of horse that you can do just about anything on; he's a great trail horse, but has enough athletic ability and forward motion to be an awesome performance horse. He is started on cattle. He would be an awesome Queen or Flag horse, carried the flag perfect the first time with no desensitizing! Houdini is very responsive and forward and is going to need an intermediate level rider since he will move out so easily. A big gorgeous Palomino gelding that anyone would be proud of to own! $3800 Sale price through Saturday $3420!

Update! I rode Houdini on the trail ride at Spur Cross. I really enjoy riding this horse! I chose to ride Houdini because I am usually the trail guide and need a horse that walks fast enough to lead. Houdini was perfect on this ride from the start. He loaded and hauled great and got along with all the other horses well. He is very sure footed and good in the rocks. Crossed the streams just like he had done it many times before. Never spooked at one thing, was rock solid all day long. If I was in the market for another horse, I would keep Houdini for myself. I really like this horse :)

"BARON"

Sold 4/5/2008

Congratulations to Carolyn Glendale, AZ!

Anyone can ride this guy!

Baron is just 7 years old and is gentle for any level rider. He has a nice confirmation and is 15.1 hands tall. He is very laid back and easy going. Super quiet on trail rides around the neighborhood and in the arena. I like this horse because he is a bit on the lazy side. He has a super nice little walk and a super slow and comfortable jog. I would suggest Baron as being most suitable for a pleasure / trail horse; he doesn't have much desire to anything very fast. He isn't grouchy or resentful and will move out into a trot or lope, you just have to ask him for it. He is well broke, has no bad habits or vices. Stands quietly to do just about whatever you want to do. I have let this horse stand for a week or two and he does not freshen up. No round penning or longing required, just step on him and go. Baron was ridden on our trail ride at Spur Cross by a complete beginner level rider, and he was perfect! He didn't care if he was first or last in the large group or horses and was great the entire time. He loaded easy, hauled great, and gets along with other horses well. He did good in the rocky terrain and had no problems crossing streams. He is suitable for beginner level riders. $2850

"ZIGGY"

Congratulations to Thomas Puklin, Apache Junction, AZ!

A flashy paint gelding!

Ziggy is 11 years old and 15.3 hands tall. He tapes at 1270 lbs. This is a big solid gentle horse. He is big boned and sure footed. He is very gentle to be around, easy to catch, stands quietly for just about anything you want to do; bathe, groom, clip, shoe, tack up and mount. No bad habits or vices. Great ground manners, not head shy, easy to bridle. If I had to grade Ziggy's ground manners, I would give him an A+. He is really a pleasure to be around, get's along with other horses good, too. This horse is really gentle, but I will suggest an intermediate level rider for him. He is a strong horse, walks out fast on trail rides and moves out easily into a trot or lope. He is not high strung or prancy, just very responsive to leg pressure. He picks up both leads and rides nice and quiet in the arena and out on trails. A big, stout, gentle horse with lot's of color! $2850 Sale price through Saturday $2707!

Update! Ziggy went on our trail ride at Spur Cross on April 6th, 2008. He loaded and hauled great as always. Ziggy did great on the long ride in the rocky terrain, and easily crossed all of the streams!

"LEO SOLIS TWO"

Sold 4/1/2008

Congratulations to the Ullacco's, Phoenix, AZ!

aka "Hollywood"

1998 AQHA GELDING

Mr San Peppy, Peppy San Badger and Okie Leo on his papers!

A rock solid horse!

Leo is 15.2 Hands tall and weighs 1250 lbs. This horse is what the cowboys refer to as "the kind". This is a big stout horse that is really well broke and gentle for anyone to ride! Leo has been used on the ranch and has had a little bit of everything done on him. He has great ground manners, he is easy to catch and is friendly. He stands quietly to bathe, groom, clip, tack up and mount. He has a good neck rein and is very easy to ride. He has a nice slow lope and picks up both leads. Awesome team penning horse, tons of ranch roping experience. Started heading. This horse has rode rock solid both in the arena and out on trails; he is not spooky at all. This horse is very versatile; he is athletic enough to be a performance horse, but gentle enough to pack around the kids or beginner level riders. Great husband horse. Leo rides real honest and is not barn sour or buddy sour. He is a very kind horse that is never grumpy or resentful. He has a great disposition and is an all around super nice horse. He is suitable for beginner level riders. $5500

"CHIP" aka "DOC"

Sold 4/2008

NEW Video!

Great confidence builder! Super smooth trot! Awesome trail horse.

What a cute horse! He is 14.3 hands tall and 13 years old. This is a real gentle horse that anyone can ride. Doc stands quietly to bathe, groom, clip, tack up and mount. He rides great in the arena and out on trails. He has a nice walk, a smooth trot that you can sit, and a nice slow lope. Doc is a bit on the lazy side, he would prefer to walk over anything faster, but will speed up if you make him. Never grumpy. He would be best suited as a pleasure / trail horse, too laid back for speed and performance events. He is well broke and has a nice neck rein. I have ridden him bareback with halter at a walk and trot and could easily control him. He has been very quiet out on trail rides around the neighborhood and has not spooked at anything. Excellent on trail rides by himself or in a large group. Does well on rocky terrain. Crosses water with no problem. This horse has a great disposition and is very willing. He does get along with other horses very well and is very sweet. He is very passive and usually the least dominate horse. This is a good one, slow and steady. This horse is the real deal, NO vices or bad habits, and is suitable for complete beginner level riders. I told this horse to some clients last year. They say he was exactly as I represented him to be "a great confidence builder", and that this guy has never done anything wrong. Unfortunately their daughter now has so much confidence, she has outgrown him and wants a faster horse. This horse rides exactly as he did last year, he's honest and not barn sour at all, even after being ridden by kids. I really recommend this horse. You can see him on the sold page as "Chip" sold in September 2007. He was thin and underweight when he came in off the ranch, and is now fat and in good weight and still just as gentle. He has a beautiful silver coat in the summer! These kind of horses are hard to find, don't pass him by if you need a confidence builder! $3000 Sale price $2850!

"BARTENDER"

Congratulations to the Steven's, Queen Creek, AZ!

A cute little Buckskin gelding!

Bartender is a cute little Buckskin gelding that is 14.3 hands tall and only 4 years old. I am very impressed with this little horse; he is well broke and completely gentle! Bartender is still under evaluation, but from what I have seen so far - even considering his young age, I don't see any reason why a beginner level rider couldn't ride him. More info soon! $3000

"GIZMO"

Sold 3/14/2008

Congratulations to the Nelsons, Tucson, AZ

Great kids or beginners horse!

Gizmo is an older Appaloosa gelding that has been there and done that. He is super gentle and would be a great kids or beginners horse. He is 14.2 hands tall. Exact age is unsure, I had a vet mouth him at 20 - 25 years old. Please do not look over this horse because of his age. His leg are totally clean, no bumps, no signs of ringbone, arthritis, etc. I see this guy lasting for a very long time. He is not an old dead head and walks out fast. He is still responsive and will move out into a trot or lope if asked. He has a great disposition, he is not grumpy at all. He rides honest and is not barn sour or buddy sour. He is fun to ride in the arena and out on trails. Picks up his leads and has a nice lope. He has great ground manners and stands quietly for just about anything you want to do. He is not spooky at all; in fact I have not seen him spook, or even really look at anything. A really nice horse. I would recommend him to anyone even my friends. He is suitable for beginner level riders. $1350

"THUNDER"

Sold 3/2/2008

Congratulations to the Bejarano's, Cottonwood, AZ!

Awesome kids horse!

Thunder is a cute little Chestnut gelding that is 10 years old and 13.3 hands tall. He is very, very gentle and well broke. This little guy is a real sweet horse with a kind disposition. He has no bad habits or vices of any kind. He has an excellent neck rein and is very easy to control. He is not barn sour at all and does not try to cheat you. I have ridden him bareback with a halter out around the neighborhood alone and he was very quiet and not spooky. The pictures above were taken on February 24th at the East Side Progressive Barrel Racing Association in East Mesa. With only two days of practice Katie won 1st place in Barrels AND Poles in the peewee division!!! This little horse rode perfectly quiet around all the traffic and commotion at the event. Katie will continue to ride him at upcoming gymkhana type events until he is sold. You can look for Katie riding Thunder March 1st at the CVSC gymkhana at the Gilbert Rodeo Grounds. Don't get me wrong, he's not a fast chargy horse at all on the patterns, Katie is just slow loping around the patterns. This is a super nice little horse that is suitable for beginner level riders. $3000

"STEEL"

Sold 3/10/2008

Congratulations to the Holt's, St. George, Utah!

2004 Grey gelding

15.1 hands, 1250 lbs. Take a look at Steel! He's the talk of the barn. This colt has been riding really quiet and gentle. He was started right and is very light in the bridle. He is responsive, athletic, and really wants to break at the poll. He has the natural ability to want to sit down and stop hard. Steel has no bad habits or vices and is really quiet and gentle. He is not spooky and rides around the neighborhood really quiet. I am really liking this colt. He's the kind that will excel in what ever direction you want to take him. We will be starting Steel on cattle this week. Please take a look at the video below. This video is unrehearsed. The video you see of Steel is the first moment he was near the flag and the quad in the video. It is hard to tell from the video, but the quad he was next to was a race bike with no silencers and was very loud. $3800

"Creamy Kid Drifter"

2005 AQHA Palomino gelding

Sold 3/27/2008

This colt is owned by, raised, and trained by my neighbors, the Zanardi's. Paul Zanardi has dedicated his life to the horse industry, and has spent 25 years as a pro calf roper and steer wrestler. Through the years the Zanardi's have been able to raise and sell some high quality horses that have gone on to the NFR, National High School Finals, and ACTRA Finals. In 1989 he had the calf roping horse of the year at the NFR. Many top competitors have have ridden Paul's horses to the winners circle. This colt has been ridden by Paul's daughter, Ashley Zanardi. Ashley is very well know in the Barrel Racing circuit with more awards than I could list.

This Palomino colt is one that anyone would be proud to own. He's confirmationally correct, has been started right and could be your next star. He has the ability to perform in any event you choose to show him. This colt is only 3 years old and has an awesome confirmation. In my life, I haven't seen too many 3 years olds with a hip this nice. This colt has been started right. He is gentle and has never offered to buck. I have ridden this colt numerous times, in my arena and on cattle. I have got to watch him grow up and progress. I have also ridden him around all the commotion at the Gilbert Days Rodeo and in Las Vegas in the indoor arena at the South Point Casino. He is started on cattle and roping the lead steer. He is very cowy and will pin his ears and track a steer. Has been logged, will cross tarps, carried flags, trash cans, slickers, you name it.

Out of all of the Zanardi's broodmares, my favorite by far is this colt's dam, Rosies Kidnap Ginger. She is built like a brick house, you should come take a look at her. This last October, a half brother to this colt (out of Rosie) sold for $29,000 at the USTRC Sale in Oklahoma City. His sire Drifts Wily Doc is a gorgeous Buckskin Stallion that you can do anything on. If my pocket book was a little deeper I would own this colt in a second. He's the kind that gets noticed and can do something too. I would suggest and intermediate to advanced rider for this colt, just because of his age. He's darn sure gentle to be around and has never offered to buck, but he's still a colt and needs to go to someone who will put some miles on him. $8500

For more information about him, you can call Paul direct at 602 315 4113.

"HOT ROD "

Sold - 3/2008

Actually, I am keeping this one for myself!

A classy horse that can do it all!

I love everything about this horse! His size, his confirmation, his disposition, his manners, and he's super broke. Hot Rod is 15.1 hands tall and is 12 years old. This horse has tons of training and he is very well broke. Really has a good handle on him for those riders who like a horse with a light neck rein. He will sit down and stop, turn around, and sidepass. Lopes nice circles, takes both leads and will do flying lead changes. Rides rock solid in the arena and out on trails. He is not spooky at all. He has an excellent disposition, never grumpy or resentful, not barn sour or buddy sour. Excellent on trail rides by himself or with other horses. Hot Rod is nice to be around, he stands quietly to bathe, groom, clip, tack up and mount. An awesome horse that can do just about anything. Tons of cattle experience, finished head horse! He's excellent on trail rides around the neighborhood; not spooky at all. I have ridden this horse on a long trail around around the neighborhood with just a halter. He is very laid back and easy going, but still responsive and eager to please. Rusty has went on our group trail rides at Usery Pass, and Spur Cross with kids and beginner level riders on him. He couldn't have been any more perfect! These are 3 hour rides through desert / mountain terrain and he did just fine without shoes. He is currently ridden barefoot with no problems, even in rocky terrain. Rusty had no problems crossing the water / creeks at Spur Cross. I really like this little guy and would highly recommend him. He is a very versatile horse, who is really gentle. This little horse is really fun to ride. He is an excellent kids gymkhana prospect or gaming horse. Never grumpy or resentful. Boomer did great and was totally quiet around all of the commotion of the event. This horse has just been a pleasure to be around and ride. He is still under evaluation but seems suitable for advanced beginner level riders. He's real gentle, but not a dead head. He's alert, walks out fast, and is not lazy. Sold 2/14/2008

Congratulations to Davis Pecusa, Hotevilla, AZ

Very, very gentle!

Awesome trail horse, great gymkhana & penning prospect.

Video 1 - Scooby and his first time ever on barrels.

Video 2

This horse is one of the favorites around here! He is rock solid and the same every time. Scooby is 11 years old and 14.2 hands tall. He is very well broke and rides great. He stands quietly to bathe, groom, shoe, and tack up. He loads and unloads easily in my trailer, hauls great. He has no bad habits, never offered to buck, no cribbing, etc... He is easy to catch and has good ground manners. He is well broke and has a great neck rein. Scooby is awesome on trails, not spooky at all. I have had all kinds of spook tests happen while riding this horse and nothing bothers him. I have been chased down the street by a little ankle biter dog snipping at his heels, I have been passed by garbage trucks, and ridden him next to major roads with tons of traffic. Scooby is one of my best rock solid trail horses. With all of the rain, my arena has been very wet so all of the horses have been ridden out on many trail rides. He does not freshen up. I like this horse because he is well broke and very gentle, but yet he is still very responsive and fun to ride. He has a great disposition and a willing attitude; never grumpy or resentful. Scooby is not lazy and is very willing; an excellent gymkhana or gaming prospect. He picks up his leads. He is not barn or buddy sour and will go out easily by himself. He would be a great kids or ladies horse. Scooby has been ridden by beginner level riders on trails. He has been on our 3 hour rides at the San Tan Mountain Park, Usery Pass, and at Spur Cross and did great! He had no problem crossing the creeks/water at Spur Cross. He is very calm and quiet, a good confidence builder on trails.

This horse is gentle enough for beginner level riders; however he is responsive and moves forward easily. I would suggest beginner to an advanced beginner level riders on trails, but may be best suited for a Novice level rider in the arena because he is so responsive. A real nice horse that will do just about anything you want to do. I will highly recommend this guy, especially if you want a solid trail horse. $3800 Sale price $3400!

"BANDIT"

Sold 2/8/2008

Congratulations to the Larsons, Queen Creek, AZ!

Awesome family horse!

I have known this horse for 4 years. He is rock solid, a true beginners horse, gentle for anyone any age and any level rider. I sold him to some very good friends as a first horse and confidence builder. Bandit has been a part of their family since 2004. Only financial difficulties force the sale of this great horse. Bandit has been everywhere and done that. He has been on many of my trail rides and camping trips over the years and packed around many kids and beginner level riders. He has been hauled to the ESPBRA and finished 3rd place last year in the "D" class barrels by a beginner level rider. (She was just slow loping the barrel pattern on him) He has also done poles and goat tying. He is not afraid of cattle, he has had previous ranch and cattle experience and has had cattle roped on him outside. Bandit is an excellent all around family horse. He has been around kids or all ages, from toddlers and up. He has great ground manners and is easy to catch. Not head shy. He is very quiet out on trails; he is NOT spooky at all. He doesn't care if he is first or last in a large group of horses. He is not barn sour or buddy sour. He will go out easily alone or by himself. He will load in any kind of trailer easily, and has been hauled in a 2 horse strait load for the last 4 years. Never a problem to load, always gets right in the trailer. Bandit has been kept barefoot for the last year and does just fine with no shoes. He is 14.2 hands tall and 15 years old. He is offered to a good home only. $3200

"CRUISER"

Sold 2/9/2008

Congratulations to Shawn Wilson, Superior, AZ

Great arena & gaming horse!

Cruiser is 8 years old and 15.1 hands tall. This horse would be an excellent all around prospect that you can do just about anything on. He stands quietly to bathe, groom, clip, shoe, tack up and mount. Cruiser is very gentle and rides great. He is not a dead head though, he walks out fast and is responsive. He is a nice gaming /gymkhana horse. I have asked a lot of this horse and he handles it well. He worked excellent for me sorting cattle, and is fun to team pen on. He will pick up his leads, do flying lead changes, sidepasses, and does well with all arena work. This horse has no vices or bad habits, and has never acted cinchy or offered to buck. He does not freshen up if he is not ridden often. I have let this horse stand for a month without being ridden and you can just step on him and ride without round penning or longing him. We have started roping the lead steer on Cruiser, and he is started on barrels. He is working nicely! He is a smart horse with some athletic ability. He is a strong horse and is a little tough mouthed so he is best suited for an intermediate level rider.

Update 10/28/2007! I took Cruiser to the ESPBRA barrel race at P&M Arena last weekend. With less than 1 week of barrel training he ran a 19 second run and qualified for the "A" class and we placed 2nd! Cruiser was perfectly quiet in the new environment, wasn't spooky at all around all the people and commotion.

Update 11/3/2007! I took Cruiser to the CVSC gymkhana and we placed 1st in the poles, 2nd in single barrel cowhorse, 2nd in the big "O", 4th in barrels and received reserve hi-point for our class and once again brought home some $$!

Sale price $2000!

Appaloosa gelding

A nice little Appaloosa gelding. Frosty is 6 years old and 14.2 hands tall. This little horse is gentle and rides real quiet in the arena. He is well broke, has smooth gaits, and is easy to ride. Frosty is nice to be around, easy to catch, and is a nice little horse. He is well broke and very gentle. He has been a little spooky out on the trails however. (At least he was when I rode him, everyone else says he fine, lol!) He may not fit my super gentle horses program, but would work for a rider with some experience that would like a young horse. Offered at $1750 for a limited time only.

Congratulations to the Rotteveels, Casa Grande, AZ

A super nice bay gelding!

Very versatile!

Video 3 - Chevy and first day jumping!

NEW - Chevy & Katie Video

Chevy is 10 years old and 15 hands tall. This horse rides great! Chevy has a great disposition and is very willing. He is a kind horse that is well broke and easy to ride. Never acts grumpy or spoiled or sour. I have ridden him both English and Western and he goes nice either way. He will direct rein or neck rein. He rides nice and quiet in the arena as well as out on trails. He stands quietly for anything you want to do and has no bad habits. He is a friendly horse and likes people. This horse never ceases to amaze me; everyday and every time I ride him he is the same or better. Everyone that has been around this horse really likes him. Chevy has been here since November; he came in underweight off of the ranch and I had let him sit for a month to fatten him up. Chevy has not changed his disposition at all even after not being ridden and well fed. I believe that this horse knows he's in good hands now and I think he appreciates the life he now has. This horse is still underweight and is a diamond in the rough. This horse is going to look amazing by Spring. He moves forward and rides nice with light cues; therefor he is best suited for novice level riders. This is a very versatile horse that you can do just about anything you want to do on. Ride him on the trails, arena, work cattle, rope or team pen, gymkhana, 4H, ride English, he's even started over jumps! A super versatile horse. I really like this horse he's a good boy! $2650

He stands quietly to groom, bathe, shoe, and tack up. He ties well and has not pulled back. He loads easily into my trailer and hauls great. He has been riding real quiet on trail rides around the neighborhood, in the mountains, and in the arena. Since we have been getting so much rain, I have been spending a lot of time riding Blue out around the neighborhood. He is not spooky at all; hasn't even flinched at anything. I have a lot of neighborhood "spook" tests and he has passed all of them. This is a real quiet horse, he is very calm. Blue is great on trails; he just drops his head and walks out. We have taken Blue on our trail rides at the Salt River and to the San Tans. He is sure footed and good in the rocks. He does well in a group of horses, doesn't care if he's first or last. He rides out easily by himself and is not barn sour. He will neck rein or direct rein and has a soft mouth. He will go English or Western. This is an extremely versatile horse! We have been riding Blue English this last week and even started him over crossrails. He is doing great! He is picking up his leads. This horse has lot's of cattle and ranch experience. He is really laid back and easy going, I think he's happiest as a pleasure horse. May not have enough forward motion to make a speed event horse. Blue is a super nice horse in the prime of his life; he's broke, he's gentle, and he's pretty! What more could you ask for? $4500

"TWISTER"

Sold 1/12/2008

Congratulations to the Johnson's, Ncola Utah!

Video 1 - Twister ridden bareback with a halter

Video 2- Twister and a beginner level rider

Video 3 - Twister walk, trot, & lope.

I sold Twister to a client in Scottsdale 2 years ago. She purchased Twister as a companion for her older retired horse. Twister was never ridden once during this time, his duty was just to be a pasture pal. Unfortunately the horse that Twister was being a companion for passed away. Since it was an emotional time for his owner, I took Twister back and he is now offered to a great home only. He has been well taken care of, he's microchipped, had his teeth floated and up to date on vaccinations. Please read the write up below, this is the information about Twister from when I owned him previously 2 1/2 years ago.

"TWISTER" Sold 5/30/2005 Dark Bay Gelding, very easy going. 14.2 hands. This horse is super quiet out on trails and in the arena! Twister would make someone a great companion and partner for someone who just wants a quiet laid back horse. He is nice to be around and is very kind. Friendly and likes people. More suited for a pleasure/trail horse, this horse has more of a go slow attitude than a performance horse. This horse is only 6 years old, but acts like a true dead head. Not for someone that wants a fast horse, he is just too laid back. $2750

Now, here is my evaluation after him not being ridden for over two years.

Twister is a bay gelding 14.3 1/2 hands tall (yes he has grown since 2005) and is 8 years old. He is a very, very kind and gentle horse that is very friendly and has a bit of a goof ball personality! He is very easy to catch, loves people and attention. Twister is riding great especially after being laid off for two years! He is still the same old go slow personality. Twister is best suited for someone who just wants to walk and do a slow jog. His jog is so comfortable and smooth! He will lope and move out but you really have to get after him. At a lope he will pick up both leads. He is not grumpy about going faster - no ears back; it just really takes a lot of leg to make him do it. I am most impressed that Twister is fat and fresh and has not done anything bad at all after going this long unridden. I think he is gentle for any level rider, but would be best suited for a confident rider if you want to make him move out faster. He is absolutely gentle for any level rider in the arena, including beginners and kids. He is a great confidence builder and is definitely not going to go too fast! He is offered to a good home only $2750

"CURLY"

Sold 1/12/2008

Congratulations to the Johnson's, Ncola, Utah!

A cute little Palomino gelding!

Video 1

If you are looking for a slow, laid back horse, this is him! Curly's new nickname is Turtle, lol! 7 years old, and 14.2 hands tall. This is a real cute little horse that rides real calm and quiet. He would be best suited as a pleasure / trail horse since he doesn't have much desire to do anything very fast. Curly has a nice slow and steady walk, it takes a firm leg to move him up into a trot or lope. He is not grumpy or resentful about going faster; and will hold a trot or lope once he is in the gait. Curly lopes nice circles and picks up his leads. He is easy to catch and quiet on the ground and to be around. This horse feels sure and steady. He would be a good confidence builder because he is not going to go faster than what you want. He is not a spooky horse but has flinched at a couple of things out on the trail. He will go out easily by himself and is very well behaved. I think Curly would best be suited for a Novice level rider. Curly is gentle enough for a complete beginner to ride in the arena, but needs a rider that can give him firm cues. We have hauled Curly to trail rides in the San Tan Mountain Park. He is excellent out on trails, and did just fine with the large group of riders. He was very well behaved, and good in the rocks and rough terrain. $2750

"DECKER"

Sold 1/13/ 2008

Congratulations to Zack Ullacco, Phoenix, AZ!

Super gentle bay gelding that you can do anything on!

Super smooth gaits!

New Video - Decker ridden, no saddle, no bridle, no halter!

Video 1 - ridden Western, working cattle.

Video 2- Katie and Decker trotting.

Video 3 - Katie and Decker loping.

15.2 hands, 12 years old. Decker is a well broke horse that anyone can ride. He has a super smooth little slow trot that you can easily sit, and a smooth lope. He has great ground manners, and stands quietly to bathe, groom, shoe, clip, and tack up. He has no bad habits or vices. He is a friendly horse and is easy to catch. Decker has been ridden out and around the neighborhood on trail rides by himself and with other horses. He has not been spooky and has passed all of the neighborhood spook tests. I have ridden him on a windy day, had dogs run up to us, flocks of birds fly, the trash truck dumping garbage cans, and kids come past us on bicycles and scooters with no problems. I rode Decker to my neighbors house and their son started their lawnmower; all of their horses spooked and ran around and Decker never moved! This is a nice gentle horse with no bad habits that I have seen. He is level headed and easy going. Decker has also been on our trail rides to the Salt River . He does excellent in the rocks and will walk up and down hills and not try to run like some horses do. Decker is real gentle but not lazy; he will move out into a trot or lope and is very willing. This is a nice horse, doesn't try to cheat you and rides real honest. Very fun and easy to ride in the arena with nice gaits. This horse is well broke with a good handle. Decker has tons of cattle experience and will watch a cow. He has had a lot of ranch roping done on him and is ready to start in the arena. I have had Decker all tangled up in the rope and he doesn't care. This is a nice horse that you can go do anything on. He is very versatile and has an awesome disposition. Don't pass this one by because he's not as pretty as some as the others, he may be the best horse here! I will highly recommend Decker, he is a great horse! Suitable for advanced beginner level riders, and really I would have no reservations about putting beginner level riders on him. $3000
