"PAL"
Sold June 2010
Palomino gelding
Sound and healthy, no lameness issues. Rides gentle in the arena. I have not yet taken him out on trails but will soon. Currently being ridden barefoot and is sound. This is a rescue horse and is very underweight. Orginal owner moved out of state and left him with a person that was very inexperienced with horses. His ground manners were pretty rude when he first came in but we are working on getting some respect back. I believe his ground manners will improve greatly once he settles in; just seems distracted like he is searching for a buddy. Rode off gentle first time I rode him and he hadn't been ridden in a very long time. Has a decent handle on him in just an o-ring snaffle. Has a fairly smooth lope. Picks up his leads. Nice to ride.. Walks out fast, not a dead head. Previous owner calls him 18 years old, I would guess him older. He has a swayed back but doesn't seem to bother him. Hoof trim, deworming and vaccinations are all up to date. Clips, ties, bathes. Nice horse for the price. Currently being ridden by kids and teens in the arena with no problems. $500

I AM A JET TOO
aka "JET"
2003 AQHA sorrel gelding
Awesome all around prospect!
Sold May 19th, 2010
Jet is a big, nice sorrel gelding that has a kind heart and not a mean bone in his body. He stands 15.3 hands tall and tapes at 1125 lbs. He has a willing disposition and tries to please. Jet has a great start on him, he is soft in the bridle, picks up his leads, and lopes nice circles. He lowers his head to be bridled. He is ready to take you in any direction and any discipline that you may choose. This horse is bred to run and built like an athlete although he is not hot at all. He will only go as fast as you ask him to and has a good stop. He is started on the barrels and trotting a nice pattern. I have ridden Jet at big events such as the Buckeye Equestrian Center, and out on many trail rides around the neighborhood. Jet is a curious horse that is alert and will look at things, but he has never done anything wrong at all. Not spooky, not cinchy, never offered to buck in anyway. No vices or bad habits of any kind. Loads, hauls, ties, clips, bathes, good to shoe. He does not seem to freshen up. I have been able to just step right on Jet after not riding him for a week (even in this cold weather) and he rode the same. He is sound with clean legs. Hasn't had his legs rode off or used hard. The photos posted are current. This horse has not been blanketed or kept inside. This is his winter coat. He is a great age and size. I see so much potential for this horse to be very versatile and do just about anything on him you want to do - English, Western, Pleasure or Performance. $3600 This horse is a steal at this price. He's a big, nice gelding with no issues!

"RIO"
Awesome trail or gymkhana horse!
Sold May, 2010
Rio is a cute little Strawberry Roan gelding that is 14 hands tall and 12 years old. I have known this horse for over 5 years. Rio was orginally a ranch horse and was part of my Super Gentle Horses program. Not only is Rio a ranch horse, but he is excellent on trails both in the city and desert/mountain terrain; he has also been Team Penned on and ridden at some local Gymkhana's. This little horse is very well behaved and wants to please his rider. I love riding this little guy because he has a super light neck rein and is responsive. He responds well in any kind of bridle, a halter, or neck rope! Rio walks out nice and will move out into a trot easily with just a smootch or squeeze. Rio is being sold because his owners have just lost intrest in riding and are selling all of their horses and equiptment.
When Rio was first brought to me he had not been ridden in over a year and a half. I saddled Rio, no round penning or lunging and he rode out the same he did 5 years ago. On my second ride I rode Rio all around my neighborhood and right down the sidewalk on Val Vista Drive to the FieldHouse Restaurant and had dinner and rode back in the dark. He is alert and not a dead head, but never spooked at anything or did one thing wrong. On his third ride a young girl rode him up to the Gilbert Rodeo Grounds from my house and attended barrel practice (in video). Rio did awesome! ***Note on barrel video, this was Katie's first time riding Rio, Rio's first time seeing a barrel in over 5 years, and I think he usually starts on the right barrel, not the left.
I remember Rio well from years ago because I liked him so much and still do. I am going to recommend a confident beginner or novice level rider just because he is responsive and not a dead head. If you like a horse that isn't sour or lazy, will walk out and cover some ground and really ride between the reins, this is your guy. Awesome gymkhana horse! So easy to ride through the barrels and poles!
He is my favorite to ride. $3200

"JEWEL"
4 year old Sorrel Filly looking for a good home!
Sold May, 2010
Approximately 14.3 - 15 hands, slender build. This filly is halter broke and you can pick up her feet but that is the extent of her training. She is healthy and sound. Seems quick to learn. Will follow you around; she is curious and looking for a friend.
$200

"DICE"
Companion, pet, lawn mower, yard ornament ONLY.
Rehomed May, 2010
19 year old Sorrel gelding. 15.1 hands tall. Dice is my baby. He is a special horse to me that has taken care of me for the last 7 years. He was my barrel horse and he has been RETIRED due to a "hitch in his get a long". He has clean legs, no arthritis, no navicular, does not require any meds of any kind. He is an easy keeper and stays too fat on just 1 flake of alfalfa twice a day. He is barefoot sound and requires a hoof trim every 8 weeks. I am offering this horse for FREE to the "right" home. Shade, turnout and someone to give him some love :) a must! I will require you to sign an agreement that you will give him basic care and if you are no longer able to care for him, you must give him back to me. Why would I give away a horse that has been so great to me you ask? Because I have too many horses here and not enough time in the day to give the attention he deserves and it makes me feel guilty! Don't think this horse is old, he looks like a young horse, I think he is going to be around for a very, very long time!

"BINGO"
A cute little Buckskin Paint! 8 years old 13.3 hands tall. A nice little horse that doesn't have a mean bone in his body. Rides quiet out on trails with other horses in the city or mountains. No buck, no issues, but still could use some more miles on him and someone that could finish him. Really wants to work and ready for a job.

CODY
aka "TIP"
Gorgeous and super gentle!
Awesome long mane and tail, and what a pretty face! Originally ranch broke, was started right, and is very well broke. He has a light neck rein and awesome brakes! This is a super nice horse that I sold to a client 4 years ago. They have enjoyed Cody (now named Tip) and have ridden him on numerous trail rides, hauled him to rodeos so wife could ride him around during ropings, and taken him on camping trips during the summer. Tip has just been a wonderful horse. He has NO vices or bad habits of any kind. He stands quietly to bathe, groom, shoe, tack up and mount. He is very quiet on trail rides, and in the arena. He is very sweet and friendly; easy to catch. Never grumpy, has a wonderful disposition and always tries to please his rider. Not too fast, not going to go any faster than you want. Smooth lope! He is not spooky even when ridden out around the neighborhood by himself. Stood perfectly quiet on a windy day in strange place with a flag whipping in the wind right next to him! He is about 14.3 - 15 hands tall, 950 lbs, 11 years old. He is suitable for anyone that knows the basics and knows how to ride. This is a real nice horse; he is only offered for sale because his owners Senior Pro Rodeo and pretty much spend their time on horseback roping. Cody was more of a pleasure horse. Wife doesn't really ride anymore and this is just too nice of a horse to leave standing around. If you are serious, you better come out quick because I guarantee you this horse will sell fast! He's pretty, a sweetheart and anyone can relax on him and enjoy riding him!

"DECKER"
New, but not new! I have known this horse for a long time, he is a good one!
Great confidence builder!
Same story as above, but Decker is a little taller horse at 15.2 hands. He is 13 years old. You can ride this one bareback with a halter through down town, he's truly a great confidence builder or beginners horse. Does not freshen up, not spooky. Decker is more push style, meaning he's not going to go faster than you want. It takes good firm cues to get this horse to move out into faster gaits. Both of these horses have been hauled all over the state. EXCELLENT trail horse, been on camping trips and on picket lines. They load and haul excellent and have been there and done that. You can google Zach Lee on Decker to see this horses winnings. Zach placed 10th for ESPBRA's high point all around. All around consisted of barrel racing, pole bending, and goat tying. He placed 4th in the B class 2009 in barrels, and was the 2008 pee wee barrel champion, and 2008 2nd place pole champion. With all of this in mind, Decker is NOT a crazy barrel horse or speed demon, you really have to push this horse to run, but he is just a GREAT all around horse! $3500
This is my old ad on Decker, and I like the horse even more after seeing him take care of my friends kids over the last couple of years.
Decker is a well broke horse that anyone can ride. He has a super smooth little slow trot that you can easily sit, and a smooth lope. He has great ground manners, and stands quietly to bathe, groom, shoe, clip, and tack up. He has no bad habits or vices. He is a friendly horse and is easy to catch. Decker has been ridden out and around the neighborhood on trail rides by himself and with other horses. He has not been spooky and has passed all of the neighborhood spook tests. I have ridden him on a windy day, had dogs run up to us, flocks of birds fly, the trash truck dumping garbage cans, and kids come past us on bicycles and scooters with no problems. I rode Decker to my neighbors house and their son started their lawnmower; all of their horses spooked and ran around and Decker never moved! This is a nice gentle horse with no bad habits that I have seen. He is level headed and easy going. Decker has also been on our trail rides to the Salt River . He does excellent in the rocks and will walk up and down hills and not try to run like some horses do. Decker is real gentle but not lazy; he will move out into a trot or lope and is very willing. This is a nice horse, doesn't try to cheat you and rides real honest. Very fun and easy to ride in the arena with nice gaits. This horse is well broke with a good handle. Decker has tons of cattle experience and will watch a cow. He has had a lot of ranch roping done on him and is ready to start in the arena. I have had Decker all tangled up in the rope and he doesn't care. This is a nice horse that you can go do anything on. He is very versatile and has an awesome disposition. Don't pass this one by because he's not as pretty as some as the others, he may be the best horse here! I will highly recommend Decker, he is a great horse! Gentle for anyone, I would have no reservations about putting beginner level riders on him.
***Some of these photos and video were taken when he first came off of the ranch, he looks even better now, heavier and longer mane and tail. Most recent pictures are the barrel racing photo's above.

RU THREE BARS LEGEND
aka "LEGEND"
2005 APHA gelding
What more can you say but wow? Gorgeous, Broke & Gentle!
A very well bred gelding. 14.2 hands, 1050 lbs. Tons of professional training, walks, trots, lopes circles. Picks up leads, does flying lead changes. Will slide to a stop and turn around. Sidepasses, awesome to open gates on. Super quiet and laid back. Very gentle. Excellent to bathe, groom, clip, shoe, load and tack up. No vices or issues, but he is slow and lazy unless you ask him to perform. Really gentle, stand up on him, crawl under him, it doesn't matter. We were able to carry a flag on him the first day we tried. Stays quiet and rides the same even after being stalled for a few days. Rides really quiet out on trails rides and around traffic. Best suited for a confident novice or better level rider just because of his young age. While this horse is gentle, he's only 4 years old so he needs to go to someone who can keep him pointed in the right direction. This horse has been started on cattle and is currently roping the lead steer. This is a nice young horse that has a great start and turns heads everywhere! $5000

"OUTLAW"
Outlaw is 13 years old, and 14.3 hands tall. The pictures above are from his first horse show, first trail ride and camping trip with Jacob. Outlaw was a ranch horse from Texas, never ridden English except for 3 days prior to the show and he brought home a 2nd & 3rd place against experienced show horses! Outlaw is a wonderful quiet trail horse, and a super gaming horse! He has competed in gymkhana's, progressive barrel races, and knows the barrel and pole pattern. Jacob won 5th place in "B class" barrels for the end of the year at ESPBRA, and placed 26 over all high point against everyone for poles, barrels, and goat tying! He is also cattle savvy coming off of a working ranch in Texas and Jacob has Team Penned on him. Outlaw is gentle for anyone to ride, but not lazy or a dead head. He moves out of you ask him to and has a great handle on him. He is the kind of horse you can catch after not riding him for a month, jump on him bareback with a halter and go ride him around the neighborhood. He has NO vices or bad habits. He is NOT spooky and an excellent trail horse. Doesn't care if he is first or last in a group. He has been a wonderful confidence builder for Jacob. He is good looking, versatile and just a great horse. $3500
***I made a correction to Outlaws age and size above. He is 13 years old and taped at 14.3 hands tall.
"SKYE"
New, but not new. I have known this horse for 4 years!
Kid tested, mother approved!
Super smooth gaits!
SKYE is a 9 year old grey gelding that is 14.3 hands tall. He is very calm and quiet, excellent on trails. I sold this horse 4 years ago to good friends / neighbors for their 6 year old niece, Jaycie. Jaycie has ridden Skye for 4 years and he has been an amazing horse for her. Jaycie has competed in pee wee barrels, pole bending, and goat tying on Skye. She has won a buckle on Skye at a NBHA barrel race and placed in many shows. Skye has built her confidence so much that Jaycie (now 10 years old) has now advanced to a faster barrel horse and Skye is now offered for sale. Her older brothers have been heeling on him and he's a decent heel horse that is quiet in the box. He was previously used as a ranch horse and has lots of cattle experience. Skye has NO vices or issues, he is gentle for anyone to ride. Loads easily, ties, hauls great, good to shoe, groom, tack up and bathe. Really smooth trot that you can sit; maybe even the smoothest trot I have ever ridden. Not spooky on trails or around large events. Awesome kids horse, suitable for beginner level riders. This is the kind of horse that you can jump on bareback with a halter and go ride him around the neighborhood. Offered to a great home only! $3200
"NIKE"
ADOPTED 3/1/2010
9 year old Sorrel gelding 14.2 hands tall. Nike is a GREAT horse but has been diagnosed with Navicular. In my opinion (and the veterinarians) he should be suitable for pleasure/light trail riding. His special needs are that he will require to be shod every 6-8 weeks with special shoes and wedge pads. He is not currently on any medication or supplements of any kind and travels sound 90% of the time since he has been in wedge pads. If you would like to read about Nike original ad from 2008, click here. If you adopt Nike and the time comes that you can no longer care for him, I will take him back. He is an easy keeper and stays FAT on just one flake of alfalfa twice daily. Adoption price: FREE to approved home. For more information on Nike, please call me at 602-316-5088.

"SUNDANCE "
aka "SUNNY"
A cute sorrel gelding!
SOLD 2/2010
What a fun horse to ride! Sunny is 12 years old, 14.2 hands tall, and weighs about 1000 lbs. He is well broke and has a nice smooth jog. This horse was used for 3 years at a Tourist Attraction Western Town (similar to Rawhide here in AZ) where he was used in acts such as robbing the train, etc! You can shoot off of him and do just about anything you want. Sunny is just a good all around horse that is good on trails but has enough get up and go that he could be a neat little gaming, gymkhana or 4H horse. NO bad habits and easy to get a long with. He is currently being ridden barefoot and is barefoot sound. This horse rides gentle for anyone, but not a dead head. He moves out of you ask him to and is easy to ride. The above pictures really don't do this horse any justice. The lighting was poor and really didn't bring out his shiny coat. I really like this horse! $3200
"KINGS BIG BOOMER WQH"
aka "BOOMER"
A big, stout chocolate Buckskin!
SOLD 2/2010
I want to start out by saying that I like this horse as much as any I have ever ridden! No kidding. I would recommend him to anyone wanting a super broke horse with a wonderful disposition. Boomer is 15.3 hands tall, weighs 1250 lbs, and is 9 years old. He is broke, broke, broke and gentle! Awesome all around gelding. Ropes both ends, Team Pen, Ranch work, or just a great family trail horse. Would even be an excellent barrel or mounted shooting prospect! He has the confirmation and the athletic ability to do anything. Great neck rein, goes wherever you point him. Really nice to ride and rides between the reins. Picks up both leads, lopes perfect circles, and has a great stop. Super smooth gaits. You can sit his trot and his lope is great too! No tie down needed, bridles up, never tosses his head and breaks at the poll. Not lazy, steps out and can cover some ground if you ask him to. EXCELLENT on trails, not spooky at all, a great confidence builder! I have ridden this horse on trails all over my neighborhood, and he is brave and confident and not spooky! I have ridden him right down the sidewalk next to a major 6 lane street with cars just passing us and he is as quiet as can be. Big boned, nice feet, made to last. No vices or bad habits, just a big stout honest gelding that's a Cadillac to ride. I will HIGHLY recommend this horse to anyone, he gets a five star rating in my book! $6500

"POCOS RED IMAGE"
aka "TANK"
Awesome Buckskin Dun AQHA gelding
Money winner in Team Penning and Youth Barrels!
Take a look at Tank! This horse is the real deal and I have known him for a very long time. He is 15.2 hands tall, 1300 lbs, 14 years old, wears a #1 shoe. He originally came from Horse Breakers Unlimited in Dewey, AZ and is now owned by one of my best friends. I have personally been all over the state with this horse and seen him in action from everything to trail rides, to camping trips, team penning, ranch roping, to teaching her nephew how to ride and barrel race. He knows the barrel and pole patterns and currently competes at ESPBRA and Dunns with a beginner level rider. He has won money both at Dunns and ESPBRA in the youth class in barrels. Not a speed demon or crazy barrel horse, but a fun gymkhana or playday horse. Tank has also won money in Team Penning and has plenty of cattle experience. This horse is only being offered for sale due to divorce. This horse is rock savvy and great on any type of terrain and trails. Doesn't matter if he's first or last in a group and will go out by himself. Awesome on camping trips, will stand tied on a picket line. SUPER QUIET on trails and around traffic. Ride him bareback or however you like. This horse is trustworthy enough that the kids ride him around the neighborhood by themselves. No vices or issues. Not barn sour, rides honest. Loads and hauls great. Best suited for an advanced beginner level or better rider. A great ladies horse, husbands horse or kids horse... the whole family can ride this one. He's pretty, sound, sane, and the real deal. $5000
Take a look at the video below, it says it all.

"STETSON"
Flashy Red Dun gelding
A really nice gelding that's gentle and rides great!
Stetson is a super nice gelding that goes great western or english. He has a great willing disposition and is just 8 years old. He is 15.1 hands tall, and weighs approximately 1150 lbs. He rides smooth and light in any kind of bit including an o-ring snaffle. This guy has a 'big' trot comfortable enough to post, but goes slow enough to sit. He has a smooth lope and a nice stop, picks up both leads. We have hauled and ridden this horse everywhere, The San Tan Mountain Park, Gilbert Days Rodeo, The Fieldhouse Restaurant, Horseshoe Park in Queen Creek, and around the neighborhood. During the carnival at Gilbert Days he walked out just fine by the roller coasters and noise of the crowds and games. On the ride back from the carnival, the train passed us not even 50 feet away, and Stetson kept walking out, no problem! On rides in the San Tan Mountains he rides quiet whether he is up front, or last in the string. Stetson hauls and loads great, stands perfectly quietly in new environments and at home. Not an overly-friendly and 'in your pocket' horse, but easy to work and warms up with some loving! Good manners, good with others, easy to catch, bathe, groom, shoe and tack up. Excellent to clip. Stetson only goes as fast as you ask him to, never chargy or fast. He is really calm, quiet and easy going. Just a good old honest ranch broke gelding that you can saddle up and go ride. . This horse will look awesome slicked out in the summer time. Lot's of chrome on this guy with 3 white stockings and a blaze face. Suitable for a confident beginner level (or better) level rider. This one won't last long. $3500

"CUERVO"
A gorgeous and talented Palomino gelding with a mind of gold!
Wow, what can I say about Cuervo beside I really love this horse! Every now and then an outstanding horse comes along and this is one of them. I have ridden this horse since last summer and he's gentle, smart, talented and can go any direction that you ask him. I have taken my time with this horse and treated him like my own. He's NEVER grumpy or tells you that he doesn't want to do something. This horse has a wonderful disposition and is always eager to please. Originally ranch broke and out of Texas. I have brought him along slowly and did everything right on him. He is super light in the bridle, bends, flexes, sidepasses, picks up both leads easily, and has a great stop. He is soft and supple in the bridle in just an o-ring. I have hauled Cuervo everywhere I have went over the last 5 or 6 months so he has been exposed to everything. Cuervo is built rock solid with big bones and a large foot. Never taken a bad step, this horse is as sound as they come and built to last. Sure footed and great in the rocks. He is a pleasure to be around, his ground manners are excellent. He is an easy keeper and has NO bad habits or vices. Not cinchy, doesn't kick, bite or buck; not spooky. Loads and hauls great, clips, bathes, ties, shoes, and gets along with other horses great. Again, there are NO holes in this horse. I've been around him every day since last summer and he is the real deal. 5 Years old, 15.1 hands, 1200 lbs. "A mind of gold" - That's what Ed Wright had to say about Cuervo at his barrel clinic! Started on the barrels, he's patterned and ready to add speed. Make him your next super star! $10,000
Update! I entered Cuervo today for the first time at the NBHA Jingle Bells Race at Horseshoe Park in Queen Creek. Cuervo did absolutely awesome and was just 1.4 seconds off of the fast time. This horse has tons of potential, I have not yet asked him for any speed at all. He is just cruising through the pattern!

"DOC SCOOT" aka "Scooter"
2001 AQHA Gelding
Freckles Playboy and Docs Oak on his papers!
What a nice well bred horse! Scooter is 8 years old, 15 hands, weighs approximately 1000 lbs, and wears a #1 shoe. This is a sweet little horse that is pleasure to ride. He has a super smooth lope, and is pretty much on auto pilot to lope circles on. Picks up leads and does flying lead changes. He has an amazing one stride walk to lope/canter. I have ridden this horse all around the city, he is quiet from passing joggers, traffic, bicycles, quads doing donuts, barking dogs, crossing rail roads tracks and bridges. I have only had him be startled by one thing and he just flinched in place. He's friendly, nice to be around, stands quietly for just about anything you want to do. I don't think he had ever been clipped before, but adjusted to it well. Good to shoe. He has a nice disposition, very willing, never grouchy or grumpy, not barn sour or buddy sour. Rides real honest. Has stood here stalled for 10 days without being ridden or turned out and rode the SAME without round penning or lunging. He has a decent handle on him and he's easy to ride. Will go English or Western. He has clean legs and is sound. No vices or issues. Not a complete dead head. Suitable for a confident beginner (or better) level rider. $3000
NEW longer video!

"SUNNY"
A cute little Palomino gelding!
Sunny is a sweet little Palomino gelding that is 6 years old and 14.1 - 14.2 hands tall. This little horse was unridden for 6 months before I got him and he rode off completely quiet without round penning him first. He was ranch broke and used on a dude string in Mayer as a four year old! Sunny goes both English or Western and is easy to ride. He will neck rein or direct rein and picks up both leads. He is currently barefoot and is barefoot sound. Not an overly friendly or in your pocket type of horse, but good to be around. Sunny rides quiet both in the arena and on the trail. The girls have ridden him up to the Gilbert Rodeo Grounds for practice on Thursday nights and he is fine around the commotion. We all have ridden him out around the neighborhood and city stuff with no issues. He is not spooky, great around traffic. He is brave and will lead the way. I enjoy riding this horse. He's got a good disposition and is just a nice horse to ride and be around. Doesn't seem to freshen up at all. Suitable for an advanced beginner level (or better) rider. $2200
Video below is of Sunny being tacked up and ridden by a beginner level rider.

"HOT SHOT"
Awesome All Around gelding!
Take a look at this nice horse, Hot Shot
has done a little bit of everything! He's SUPER quiet on trails, been used
as a rodeo pick up horse, used on the ranch to sort and doctor cattle on,
Team Penned, and is Patterned and the Barrels and Poles with no gate issues!
This horse is a real pleasure to be around, nothing bothers him. Awesome on
trails! I feel safe on this horse, and have from the first day he was here.
He has been hauled and has seen the sites. He stands perfectly quiet at the
trailer or anywhere you put him and will stand quietly for anything you want
to do. Perfect to bathe, groom, clip, tack up, mount, and gets in the trailer
on his own - Just point him in that direction and he will go get in. Hauls
great. He is broke and has a good handle on him. Automatic lead changes. Please
take a look at the video below. It was unrehearsed. The flag, bridge, and
trail riding sections were all taken on his first day out in a strange place.
It was windy out and he was perfect by all the traffic, even a car going through
the noisy car wash didn't bother him! He rode just as quiet at night in the
dark as he does in the day. The arena video is how he rides when you just
step on. There was no warming up before I made the videos. NO buck, NO vices,
NOT cinchy, NOT spooky at all. Doesn't seem to freshen up. Just a solid horse.
I have rode this horse pretty hard, he is 100% sound and has clean legs. No
barn sour issues, goes out in a group or by himself. Easy to catch, nice to
be around, gets along with other horses well. Not grouchy or grumpy, has a
willing disposition. This horse has great ground manners and is gentle for
anyone. However, Hot Shot has a big motor under him and he is very responsive.
He is a forward moving horse and a free runner on the barrels and poles and
needs a rider that is comfortable on a forward horse. He is NOT suitable for
less experienced rider because of this. He will adapt to your riding style,
meaning if you want to the run the barrels on him he will be hot, if you want
to just trail ride he will mellow out and walk. Hot Shot is 12 years old,
15.1 hands, 1156 lbs, and wears a #1 shoe. This is a super nice horse and
one of my favorites to ride. $3500
"JC"
A good solid horse! 17 years young, 15 hands, super gentle and sound. JC is just one of those good old ranch horses that has been there and done that. He simply has not done anything wrong since he's been here. He ties and stands quietly for anything you want to do including grooming, bathing, farrier, clipping, mounting, and tacking up. Great ground manners, gentle to be around. He rides quiet enough for beginner level riders with no need to round pen or longe before you ride him. I have let many different kids ride JC, including kids that are beginner level riders. This horse is sound and healthy. He was thin when he came off of the ranch but is gaining weight quickly just on a normal amount of hay with no additional supplements. He is currently being ridden barefoot and is sound. A super nice horse for the price! $1450
Video of JC with a beginner level rider on him. This is one of my neighbors, she has ridden a horse about 15 times.
Awesome Bay and White Paint gelding. Goes English or Western!
7 years old, 15 hands tall. Gorgeous with a blue eye! Playboy went to his first show on September 20th, 2009 at Horse Lovers Park. He won 2nd place in Hunter Under Saddle Equitation and two 4 ths in the cross rails division! Playboy stood completely quiet at the show, didn't care if he was around another horse or by himself, wasn't bothered by anything. This is a real nice horse that stands QUIET for bathing, brushing, clipping, grooming, tacking up and mounting. He is friendly and likes people, excellent ground manners, not skittish, but not rude or too in your pocket either. Ties, has never tried to pull back. Not cinchy. He rides quiet around the neighborhood, large events with lot's of commotion, and out on desert type trail rides. He will ride off out around the neighborhood with no barn sour or buddy sour issues. The girls have crossed bridges on him, crossed major roads, ridden him up to the gas station and the Water and Ice store. We have ridden him out in the San Tan Mountains and at the Salt River. He crosses water, and was perfectly quiet when kayak's paddled right up to him. Stayed real quiet when a horse next to him was rearing and acting up. Stayed very quiet when hauled to Horseshoe Park and ridden around the barrel race, bull riding and team roping. He picks up his leads with no issues. He will easily load into any kind of trailer (including 2 horse side by sides) and hauls great. Walks out fast and doesn't feel lazy pleasure riding; but a little lazy when it comes to top end speed. He is real gentle but not a dead head. I would recommend him best suited for a novice level rider. This is a super nice horse that is a 100% sound with NO vices, a great disposition, and the perfect age. He's a real head turner and will catch the judges eye. What more could you ask for? $4750
New Video!

"POPSICLE"
Reserve Champion at his first show!
Popsicle is a super cute little Paint gelding! 14 hands tall, 5 years old. He is stout and big boned, wears a #1 shoe. This little horse was unridden for 6 months before I got him and he rode off completely quiet without round penning him first. He was ranch broke and used on a dude string in Mayer as a four year old! Popsicle goes both English or Western and is easy to ride. We took Popsicle to the Gold Star Horse Show at Horse Lovers Park on September 20th, 2009. This was Popsicle's 1st horse show ever and he won Reserve Champion in the Pony Hunter 2' division! This little guy was totally calm and quiet at the show, nothing bothered him and he never refused a jump! Still needs a little work on his leads, but starting to pick up flying changes and getting better all of the time. Schooling at 2' - 2' 3" and has jumped 2' 6". No bad habits or vices. Not cinchy or grouchy, just step on and go. NOT spooky. Quiet on trails, not barn sour or buddy sour, easily goes out by himself. Stands quietly for anything you want to do. A real nice little horse. $3000
New Video!
"BARTENDER"
BUCKSKIN GELDING!
At just 5 years old this Buckskin is super quiet. I have known this horse for almost 2 years. Bartender was ranch broke and is calm, quiet, and level headed. He is currently being patterned on the barrels and hauled weekly. He is trotting and loping the pattern and shows that he is smart and a quick learner. He is a push style horse and stays real quiet at events and takes the hauling at ease. Not barn sour or buddy sour. Ties, clips, shoes, bathes, and has no vices. He is SOUND and has clean legs. NO buck, rear, cribbing, kicking etc. No holes in this guy, just a level headed quiet gelding. Rides real quiet outside on trail rides, a fast walker, not spooky. Great ground manners, you can catch him anywhere and he will stand quiet all day. $5000
Pictures taken August 29, 2009. Video taken August 31st, 2009. This video was unrehearsed. The city trail sections were taken in a new area that he had never been in before.
I will post video of arena work ASAP!

"TROY"
SOLD 8/24/2009
Do you want a super ALL AROUND horse that will give you 100% every time?
Troy is an amazing little horse that you can do anything on. Barrel Race, Team Rope, Breakaway, Gymkhana's, Poles, Jumps, and is still rock solid enough for my dude string! He is 12 years old and 14.2 hands tall. He is perfectly quiet out on trails and yet super responsive in the arena. This horse stays quiet and is GENTLE. NO buck, NO vices, spook, or bad habits. Does not freshen up or require lot's of riding. This horse ties, stands quietly to bathe, groom, tack up, and mount. I have leased him out for trail rides and camping trip all over the state. He has great hooves and is barefoot sound; always 100% sound. A prior ranch horse, tons of cattle experience. Awesome in rocky and rough terrain and is cactus savvy. We Team Sort on Troy, Team Rope, Barrel Race, haul him to horse shows and he WINS. Troy is a lot more athletic than I ever had thought he would be. This is a great horse that has an awesome disposition and a huge heart. He stays honest, never tries to cheat you, and always tries to please his rider. All you have to do is ask Troy to do something for you, and he gives you 100%. He trailers well, I have hauled him everywhere. This horse has proven himself to me time and time again. I like this horse too much to give him away for a too low price. It would take 3 or 4 horses to do what you can on this one horse. Gentle for a beginner level rider but best suited for a good Novice level rider - he is not a dead head and very forward moving. This horse likes to compete and is too competetive on the barrel pattern for a beginner level rider. Has a current coggins. $4500 FIRM

"BLAZE"
SOLD 8/21/2009
Blaze is a sweet Sorrel gelding that is 18 years young. He is an excellent trail horse for someone who enjoys riding out by themselves. He is not spooky and goes where you point him. He is friendly, easy to catch and likes people. He has great ground manners and stands quietly for just about anything you want to do. He does not seem to freshen up, I have let him stands for long periods of time and he rides the same. We have hauled Blaze on numerous trail rides and camping trips. He has been ridden on long trail rides in rocky terrain and is sound. This horse has a little age on him but you would never know it. He has a little pep in his step and is not an old dead head. This is a great horse for someone who likes a horse with a little spirit. He will try to trot occasionally and needs a rider that enjoys a horse with some go to him. Blaze does best when stalled by himself. He is the bottom of the pecking order and gets ran off of his food by more aggressive horses in a herd environment. A great horse for the price $1500

"GBH ARIEL JETWOOD"
aka "JET"
2002 AQHA GELDING
DRIFTWOOD x JET SMOOTH!
A super nice little horse. Started on the barrels and heeling.
Jet is a well-bred little bay quarter horse gelding. He is a joy to ride in the arena - he walks out easily and can give you a nice trot or smooth jog and takes both leads effortlessly when asked to lope. He has been hauled to multiple trail rides, camping trips, and rodeo events. He loads and trailers into any type of trailer without a problem; we have hauled him in stock trailers, slant loads and even 2 horse straight loads. He took a teen, inexperienced with barrel racing, to their first barrel race on 5/29/09 and qualified in the B barrels with a time of 21.6 and shows strength and ability to go much faster. Jet is quiet and calm in new environments. He has been roped off on the heel side and was started right by Denton Payne. He will stand tied for hours and has good manners on the ground - he doesn't freshen up much even after not being ridden for a few weeks. He stands at 14.2 hands, and is seven years old. He is a really nice horse that would be suitable for a novice level rider, because he isn't a dead-head. He has speed and athletic ability, awesome barrel, breakaway, heel horse prospect, or just a great trail horse. $3500
"FAMOUS"
SOLD 7/2009
A cute little black gelding!
Famous is a sweet little black gelding that is easy to ride. He is level headed, sane and sound. He is well broke and will neck rein or direct rein. He is a friendly horse, but not rude or in your pocket. He is well mannered and stands quietly to bathe, groom, shoe, tack up and mount. He ties and has not pulled back. He will lower his head to bridle up and is not cinchy. He loads well in my trailer and hauls just fine. I have ridden this horse out in the San Tans, out around my neighborhood, in the arena, and at Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Center in Queen Creek around large crowds. He is alert, but not spooky. Rides super quiet in the arena. He is not too forward or too slow; right in the middle with leaning towards being a little lazy to move out into faster gaits. A great little trail horse with ranch and cattle experience. 10 years old, tapes at a solid 14.2 hands, 966 lbs. - He is a little underweight and will weigh a little over a 1000 with some more groceries. This horse was barefoot when I got him, and he was barefoot sound in the arena. However, in my opinion if you ride in the rocks like we do I would suggest shoes. He was shod and dewormed on 7/15/2009. Suitable for an advanced beginner (or better) level rider. $2950

"MR CLASSIE COYOTE"
SOLD 7/2009
2002 AQHA Gelding
SUPER GENTLE!
This is a super nice horse, he's smart, gentle, and good looking. Take a look at this horses papers, the breeding says it all with names like Colonel Freckles, Doc's Oak, Blondies Dude, Easy Jet, and the great barrel horse sire Rincon. He has just been started heading and on the barrels and is doing great on both. This horse has some speed, but only if you really ask for it; really laid back otherwise. Coyote is friendly, easy to catch, has great ground manners, and stands quietly for anything that you want to do. He ties, trailers well, and is nice to be around. He gets along with other horses great and is never mean. I have hauled this horse on camping trips, trail rides and to barrel racing events. This is a nice young horse that's gentle, we accidentally got him in the cholla on one of our trail rides and he stayed quiet. He has NO bad habits or vices, and has never offered to buck, crow hop, or do anything bad. Coyote is one of those hard to find horses that just has a great disposition. I like this horse more and more all of the time and will recommend this horse. He is being ridden by 8 - 10 year old beginner level riders in the arena with no problems. These little girls can catch Coyote, tack him up, and ride him unassisted. These little girls are true beginners and Coyote stays honest for them. Loud color Black and White Paint gelding! Short and stout and can do a little bit of everything. This is a real versatile gelding that's flashy and gentle to ride. Tank is here on consignment and is owned by a long time friend to my family. Tank has done a little bit of everything, worked cattle, trail ridden, and been hauled to gymkhana's. He knows the barrel and pole pattern and still stays sane and quiet. We have ridden this horse on trails all over in big groups and little and he has been perfect! Tank has packed around the kids for the last couple of years, but the kids just have lost interest in riding and mom says she's tired of Tank sitting around doing nothing. Offered to a good home only. This is an excellent little all around pleasure and arena horse. Suitable for a novice level rider.

"LK LENNY "
Sold 5/2009
1994 AQHA Gelding
What can I say about this horse? This may be the first horse that I have ever had in my lifetime that I can't find one single thing about him that I dislike. - Not kidding. This is one of the nicest horses that has ever came through my hands. Possibly the nicest. This horse is 14 years old, 15.2 hands and will weigh 1250 lbs. He is broke, broke, broke, and has a wonderful disposition. He is friendly, but not overly to where he is in your space. He stands quietly for anything you want to do and will ride in any kind of bridle. He belongs to a friend of mine who is one heck of a hand and ropes professionally. He has rode this horse outside, gathered and doctored cattle on him. This horse has been hauled all over the place and rodeo'd on. He's been there, done that, and is SOUND. He was a big time head horse that sold for $40,000 but has got bad in the box. Lenny's point of view, he doesn't want to be a rope horse anymore but will do anything else you ask. Super, super quiet on trails. Doesn't matter if he is fresh or the wind is blowing, just step on him and go. He has NO buck or bad habits or vices or any kind. Anyone can ride this horse. He's broke, takes his leads, does flying lead changes, roll backs, will turn around, and slide to a stop. Get off and he will follow you around all day. He has clean legs, no blemishes. What more can I say about this horse other than I love him and you will too! $5500
The video below is unedited, first and only take, taken with no prior warm up. What you see is what you get.
OOPS, one mistake in the video above. Lenny is a Sorrel, not a Red Dun.

Rides real quiet around the neighborhood and on big group trail rides in the desert/mountains. No vices or bad habits. Would make a great kids or ladies horse. Flashy Red Dun Gelding
Awesome all around horse, you can shoot off this guy!
Take a look at Gangster! He is 15.3 hands tall and 10 years old. This horse is owned by a long time friend of mine that has used this horse for ranch work, doctoring cattle, Team Roping (both ends) and stunt work. Great for any cattle events including Team penning! Gangster has been used at the Rawhide Western Town for 28 days straight in a headless horseman act during Halloween and The great Rawhide Train Robbery! Gangster had over 50 shots fired off of him each night during the multiple train robberies. This horse has seen it all, crowds, spooks during the haunted house, you name he has done it! He is not spooky and rides real quiet on the trails. He is broke and really rides between the reins. He has a great neck rein and picks up both leads. He has a great stop on him and is ready to do just about anything that you want. I have ridden this horse out and around my neighborhood, he was perfectly quiet, and had him out on a group ride. You can pony other horses on him no problem. He has great ground manners, will follow you around and is a pleasure to be around. He loads easily into my trailer and hauls great. He stands quietly for just about anything you want to do and is excellent to clip and bathe. Gangster is suitable for someone who knows the basics, he is not a dead head is is responsive to cues. He is up to date on all health care including teeth floating, deworming, and vaccinations.

New pictures of Kobalt above from the Copper State Horse Show on March 1st, 2009. Kobie won Reserve Champion in Hunter Under Saddle!
"KOBALT"
Sold 3/2009
Tall, dark, and handsome!
Kobie is a very noble and flashy 10 year old Draft cross gelding! He is being schooled and progressing very well under dressage and English pleasure training. He stands at 17 hands and weighs in at just about 1,600 pounds! This horse belongs to my best friend, and I have personally been around this horse throughout the year in all types of different situations. Kobalt is handsome, sturdy, quiet, and only offered for sale since the husband just isn't riding enough to justify keeping him. Kobie has been used as a "husbands horse" for the past year and a half and has been hauled to numerous trail rides and camping trips all over the state. You can hop on this horse even after a month or more of not riding and have a smooth and easy ride. He is broke to ride on the flat, free of riding vices, and he is also trained to drive single or double. Kobie rides smoothly in just a regular smooth snaffle and no special training or riding devices. No need for round penning or lunging. He is a joy to ride either English or Western and would be a great dressage prospect with his smooth canter, floating trot, and easily extended and collected gaits. Kobie would be suitable for a novice level rider. He is indeed a gentle giant, but would be best in a home with someone who is confident in handling a horse of his size. Kobalt brings a whole new meaning to "tall, dark, and handsome!" Ride this horse and you are sure to get noticed! $8500 Sale price $7500!
"HUSTLERS EASY GAL"
aka "FLY"
2004 APHA Mare #809705
A super nice Black and White Paint mare!
I have known this mare for almost 2 years. She has been started right and rides nice and quiet. She is soft in the bridle, flexes, breaks at the poll, sidepasses, and picks up her leads. The nicest thing that I like about this mare is she doesn't act "marish"; she never squeals, kicks, or acts witchy to the other horses. She has been started on cattle and is just started to be slowly patterned on the barrels. She is 14.3 hands tall and is 4 & 1/2 years old. She has been ridden out on many trail rides all over Arizona and stays real quiet in a big group. I am now using this mare in my lease program and she will be ridden on trail rides across Arizona almost every weekend. This is a super nice mare that has her whole life ahead of her. She is best suited for a Novice (or better) level rider.
$4500
"HOT ROD"
Sold 3/16/2009
An outstanding Quarter Horse gelding!
Well, I really hate to list this one, but the economy stinks and I've got to cut back my herd. Hot Rod is an 11 year old bay gelding that is 15.1 hands tall. I have personally owned this horse for the last year and sure hate to see him go. This is a jam up, do anything on kind of horse. You can team rope, run barrels, team pen, go to playdays, go camping, or just pleasure ride down the trail. Ride him English, Western, or bareback, it doesn't matter. Hot Rod is super broke, picks up his leads, rides between the reins and can really stop. This horse is really gentle and super quiet on trails, both in the city around traffic and out in the desert or mountains. He is not spooky on trails. He has NO bad habits or vices of any kind He loads easily and hauls great and stands quietly to brush, groom, bathe, clip, shoe, tack up and mount. Does not freshen up if he's not ridden for a long time; rides the same every time. This horse has never spooked at anything on a trail ride since I have had him. He is quiet at large events around all of the commotion. Please take a look at Hot Rod's video, the video speaks for itself. The day I took this video Hot Rod hadn't been ridden for over a week and I just got on bareback with a halter and rode to Circle K. I was totally at ease and so was Hot Rod. This horse is going to best suited for someone that knows how to ride; he's really gentle but has a big motor under the hood and you need to know what buttons to push. This is the kind of horse that is hard to find - gentle, good looking, sound and sane, and he's a performance horse too! $7500 Sale price $6500!
All of the pics below were taken last winter when Hot Rod had not been blanketed and had his winter coat.
"KIM SUZZY SHA"
Sold 2/2009
aka "Suzy Q"
1999 AQHA Buckskin mare #3879089
Suzy Q is a good looking mare that rides as gentle as she is pretty. She is well broke and is easy to ride. She is easy to catch, stands quietly to bathe, groom, shoe, and tack up. She ties, and has great ground manners. She is soft in the bridle and has a good handle on her. Suzy has been ridden Western most of her life, but has just been started English pleasure as well. This is a sweet mare, that seems happiest as a pleasure arena or trail horse. She does prefer to be the lead horse on a group ride. She is very quiet, has not spooked at anything or offered to buck. No need for round penning or lunging before getting on. She stays quiet and is a pleasure to ride. Suitable for a Novice level rider. $3500
"TITAN"
Sold 2/2009
A rock solid horse!
Titan is a 20 year old gelding that is just an awesome horse! Titan is 15.3 hands and 1275 lbs. This is a big, stout gentle horse that is big boned and wears a #3 shoe! He is gentle for almost any level rider and will do just about anything you ask. This horse has had a ton of ranch work and cattle roped off him, been on trails all over the place, and even knows the barrels. He's a good old honest horse that would make a lady a great quiet and level headed trail horse; or a great guy for a kid to poke around on. I had previously listed this horse for sale and liked him so much I decided to keep him for my leasing program and for the kids to run barrels (gymkhana and ESPBRA) on. He is quiet and level headed around the barrels - but has go and ran a 21.0 barrel pattern. However, Titan has too much age for my hard use. After practicing barrels on him everyday, and him being ridden daily on long rocky rides, he got sore in his front end. I have the opportunity to take this horse back to the ranch, but before I do would love to see him put in an appropriate home where he can teach a kid how to ride or pack granny around the yard! This horse isn't old and used up, just needs the appropriate job as a pleasure horse. I am being upfront about his soreness, so you if want a horse for barrels or hard use this is not him. Titan is ready for a slow, easy life and I hope he gets a great home. He does not require any special shoeing or care, although I am sure he could benefit from supplements.
Come out and see Titan, if he's what you are looking
for and you will give him an appropriate home, I will guarantee him or your
money back. Offered to the right home only

This mare can stand for very long periods of time and always rides gentle and quiet with no round penning or lunging. She does not freshen up. We have taken Saphira out fresh and ridden on her on large group trail rides and she is always perfect. Doesn't care if she's first or last in a large group. This mare will walk out at a normal speed or can really cover some country if you ask her to gait. She is a real pleasure to ride out on trails. We have ridden Saphira English, Western, and bareback. Saphira has lot's of trail experience and even some ranch experience! She stands quietly for just about anything you want to do and has no bad habits or vices. She has thrown a beautiful foal out of a Quarter Horse Stallion, and had no problems foaling. She has very quiet heat cycles, in fact I never even can tell when she comes in season unless my stud is around - he tells me :) This mare has been barefoot on all of our rides and is barefoot sound. She is suitable for a confident beginner level rider. This is a super nice little mare that is a pleasure to ride. $2850

"KAYTO"
Sold 1/31/2009
Peruvian Paso gelding!
Kayto is a Peruvian Paso gelding that is fun to ride! He is 11 years old and 14.1 hands tall. Kayto has been used for trail riding and camping trips all over Arizona, and few competitive rides. For those of you with bad backs or just looking for a smooth ride, gaited horses are the way to go. These horses are unlike any breed that I have ever owned and they definitely have "Brio".
The definition of Brio from Wikipedia is: "Brio" refers to a horse’s vigor, energy, exuberance, courage and liveliness; it automatically implies that these qualities are willingly placed in the service of the rider. Horses with true brio are willing workers. Their attention does not wander but is focused on the handler or rider, and thus they are quick to react and fast to learn. Horses with brio attract attention, and combined with the stamina of the breed have reserves they can tap to travel long distances for many hours. Breeders and judges look for Brio, often translated as "spirit," but this does not capture the complexity of the term. Brio describes a somewhat contradictory temperament, which combines arrogance, spirit, and the sense of always being on parade, with a willingness to please the rider. Brio is an intangible quality of controlled energy that creates a metamorphosis in ordinary-looking horses and is an important trait of the Peruvian Paso."
Kayto is a nice gentle horse, but has the liveliness of a Peruvian Paso, and would be best suited for a novice level rider. This horse was very fresh when I got him and can stand for long periods of time and still ride the same without round penning or any longing. He is a kind horse that rides gentle. He has NEVER done anything bad since I have been around this horse. I don't think he has any buck what so ever, and he is a very kind horse. He has been barefoot for years and does not need shoes. I took Kayto on our camping trips over the summer at Groom Creek and the Houston Mesa Horse Camps. - Kayto was excellent! Doesn't care if he is first or last in a large group, and rides perfect. He will walk at whatever speed the other horses are going, or gait if you want him to. He is always a pleasure to be around and ride. I have let friends who were advanced beginner riders ride Kayto with no problems - even when he is fresh and has not been ridden for some time. We have even used Kayto for Team Sorting and he was excellent! All of my friends who ride this horse love him. This breed of horse gaits naturally and does not require any special training to gait. This horse is fun, fun, fun to ride! Sale price $2650
"BUSTER"
Sold 1/28/2009
A great confidence builder!
A super gentle bay gelding. 12 years old, 15 hands tall. Super smooth little lope! This horse is gentle for any level rider and is best suited as a pleasure trail horse. If you are looking for a horse for speed events or for one that moves out into a lope easy, Buster's probably not the horse for you. He is a bit on the lazy side and prefers slow gaits. He doesn't not lag behind on group rides though and will walk out nice and fast on group rides. This horse is about as gentle as they get and would be a great confidence builder! He is currently being ridden by many different kids and beginner level riders and is always great. He has been ridden here at the house on fun days doing gymkhana type events and team sorting and stays nice and quiet. He takes some encouragement to lope but is a great confidence builder. Buster was ridden on our Poker ride at Usery pass with over 20 horses and he was perfect. He is sure footed and good in all types of terrain. He doesn't care if he is first or last in a large group and always stays quiet. Buster will stand quiet for just about anything you want to do. No bad habits or vices. He has great hooves and is currently being ridden barefoot with no problems. This horse came off of the ranch really underweight but is filling up very quickly. He gets better everyday, he's a real diamond in the rough. Suitable for beginner level riders. $2450!
"RASCAL"
Sold 1/2009
A cute little black pony!
Rascal is 7 years old, 13.3 hands tall and weighs about 800 lbs. He is a sweet little pony that was ranch broke and rides great! He is very soft in the bridle and has a light mouth. He is very well broke and easy to ride. I would highly recommend this little to guy for an awesome little gymkhana or jumper pony! He is very willing and not lazy. Seems to be very eager to please and loves arena work and patterns! Never grumpy, grouchy, or resentful. He is a smart little horse that learns patterns very quickly. He rides real honest and is not barn sour or buddy sour at all. He will neck rein or direct rein and has very smooth gaits. He has clean legs and great feet! He is currently ridden barefoot and his hooves are hard and look great. He will go English or Western and is the kind of horse that tries to please. I would most like to see Rascal be sold as a kids horse, but he is big enough for a small adult to ride as well. Best suited for a novice level rider. $2450 Sale price $2000!
"POKEY"
Sold 1/2009
A great confidence builder!
Sorrel gelding, 11 years old and 15.1 hands tall. Pokey rides quiet and gentle for any level rider, including beginners! He is quiet in the arena, on trail rides around the neighborhood, and on large group trail rides out in the mountains. This horse has been ridden by a beginner level rider through the neighborhood in city conditions and near traffic with no problems. The girls have ridden Pokey all over including up to Wendy's Restaurant and the Gilbert Days Rodeo & Carnival. Pokey stayed quiet around all of the commotion of the large event, loud speakers, 1000's of people and even the carnival rides! He will walk out fast on group rides; doesn't lag behind. I have noticed that Pokey is very slow with less experienced riders, but will move out into a trot or lope with a more confident rider. He definitely prefers slower gaits over fast ones, therefore he would be best suited as a pleasure trail horse. Pokey takes quite a bit of encouragement to lope, unless you have a rope or are sorting cattle and he will move out easy! He tons of ranch and cattle experience, and we have had a lot of fun using him for team sorting! This is a nice quiet horse with a sweet personality and disposition. I trust this horse to put kids or beginner level riders on him, he has never done anything bad and has no vices. He stands quietly for just about anything you want to do; shoe, clip, bathe, tack up, and mount. Stands quietly next to a mounting block. Loads and trailers good. He gets along with other horses very well. This horse came off of the ranch thin but is gaining weight very quickly. He looks better every day. A great confidence builder! Suitable for beginner level riders. Up to date on shoeing, vaccinations, and deworming. Sale price $2350
"MAX"
Sold 1/2009
I love this horse and will highly recommend him!
Max is only 7 years old and has zero spook factor! This horse is rock solid to ride around the neighborhood, dogs, traffic, bicycles, you name it he's passed all the tests. Max drops his head, lines out and walks out nice and fast. He is very well broke and has a good neck rein. I totally trust this horse spite his young age. Take a look at the video of Max and the trash bag, and rain slicker. This video was unrehearsed, and he was not desensitized in advance. Max has no bad habits or vices. He stands quietly to bathe (even wash his face), groom, clip, shoe, and tack up. He loads easily in my trailer and hauls great. Max is wonderful around the neighborhood and out on mountain / desert type terrain. He is sure footed and good in the rocks. He will step over obstacles like logs and step through gates and not jump. Max does not care if he is first or last in a large group of horses, and will also go out easily by himself. He is not barn or buddy sour, and rides honest. This horse is completely gentle for any level rider, but is also not a dead head. Max is responsive and will move out into a trot or lope willingly. This horse has a little athletic ability therefore making him a great all around horse that you can do just about anything on - trail, team pen, rope, timed events, you name it! This is a super nice, calm quiet horse, that is well broke. He picks up his leads and will do flying lead changes. He drops his head and responds nicely to the bit, and backs up well. This is the kind of horse you can jump on bareback with a halter and ride him around the neighborhood. Suitable for advanced beginner level riders. 15.2 hands tall, thick bone structure and nice big hooves. This horse is built to last. $4000 Sale price $3500
