"KATHY DRIFTWOOD"

aka "KAT"

2007 SUPER NICE AQHA BAY MARE

This is a super quiet classy mare who is very well bred. She has Driftwood Ike, Colonel Freckles, and Cee Booger Red on her papers! Raised and ridden on the Bar Triangle Ranch, near Prescott, AZ this mare is sure footed and good in the rocks. She is sound and has good hard black feet. She is no stranger to cattle and ranch work, Charlie told me he has roped a bull on this mare and led wild cows in on her. KAT is about as unflappable as they get and as gentle as they come. Loads and hauls excellent, stands quietly even in a brand new environment. Excellent ground manners stands quietly to bathe, groom, tack up and mount. Very laid back and easy going. She isn't buddy sour or barn sour and does fine if she is alone. Kat is a push style horse, meaning you have to ask her to go faster; she isn't too forward moving or high strung at all. Haven't seen her act marish one bit. This is a super nice mare; she has a wonderful disposition and laid back attitude - but has enough athletic ability to make a top notch performance horse. I have just started to pattern Kat on the barrels, she is super smart and learns very quick. She tries to please her rider. This mare is straight off the ranch, wait until she sheds her winter coat, she will be a real eye catcher. Excellent all around performance prospect or just a super gentle pleasure horse. You can look all over the Internet and it's hard to find a horse this young that is this gentle with a great disposition like this. All of the hard work is done, she is ready to be finished the way you want to go. Can you tell I like her? Yes, I do. This is the kind of horse that I would recommend to my best friend. Still under evaluation, but from what I have seen she is gentle enough for a beginner level rider. $4000

"CHARM"

FLASHY LITTLE DUN PAINT MARE

14 hands, 900 lbs, 7 years old.

This a very versatile ranch broke mare that is as cute and flashy as they get. If you are looking for a small horse that you can do just about anything on, this is her! Ranch raised and ranch broke, has been ridden outside on the ranch since she was 4 years old. Sure footed, and good in the rocks. Lot's of cattle experience and has been heeled on. Very responsive to cues and has a light neck rein. Not a lazy horse, forward moving and willing to work. Really gentle and has a wonderful disposition. Never grumpy or resentful. Excellent on trails, NOT spooky. Very brave and confident, great around traffic. Easy to catch, has a great disposition, stands quietly to bathe, groom, clip and tack up. Loads and hauls excellent. Charm has no bad habits, very nice to handle and be around; a real sweetie! The pictures of her on the ranch and roping were taken last summer. $4000

"CASH"

2000 APHA FLASHY BROWN & WHITE PAINT GELDING

Flashy Tobiano Paint gelding 11 years old, 15 hands, 1100 lbs. Cash is a well bred ranch broke gelding off of the famous Bar P Slash Ranch in New Mexico, raised and trained by Duke Primrose. This horse has only had 2 owners and hasn't been traded around. Tons of cattle experience, great trail horse. Very gentle, but not a dead head. Cash walks out fast and can cover some ground. He is alert and looks around, but has not spooked at anything. Cash is a forward moving horse and likes to work. Great all around gelding, would be a fun team penning or fun day horse. This is a well bred horse with Dash For Cash, Top Moon and Easy Jet on his papers. This horse is gentle, not spooky and has no buck to him what so ever. May be a little too forward for a nervous rider or someone looking for a confidence builder. He has a fairly fast lope, but is not chargy or high strung. He does stop easy, has a good handle on him and is easy to control. I think he would be best suited for a confident novice or better level rider. Needs a rider that can post a trot and is comfortable on a faster lope. Currently being ridden barefoot and is barefoot sound. No vices or bad habits. A really nice horse. $3800

CHARLIE SUGAR JAMES

aka "CHARLIE"

2005 AQHA BLACK GELDING

A cute black gelding 15.1 hands, 1125 lbs.

Charlie is a ranch broke gelding who was started and ridden by an older gentleman and used as a ranch horse. Charlie is only being offered for sale because his owner is retiring and now using atv's to check his cattle. This horse is very sweet, kind, and gentle; really a nice friendly horse to be around. Charlie is easy to catch and has great ground manners. He has a wonderful little jog that is super smooth and easy to sit. He rides wonderfully in just an o-ring snaffle. Charlie has been ridden by myself and kids from ages 9-14 years old here in the arena and out on trails. He rides best for a confident novice rider; was a little stubborn with the 9 year old girl. - He didn't act or up or do anything silly; he just knew she was too small to make him go. This is a really nice quiet gelding that stays gentle and quiet and is really smooth and comfortable to ride. He is just coming 7 years old this April and his whole life ahead of him to go whatever direction you would like to take him :) $3800

"BLACK JACK"

2003 Jet Black Quarter Horse Gelding

This horse is very well broke, has a great neck rein on him and a super smooth little lope. AWESOME disposition, likes to work, and wonderful to be around. Rides really quiet in the arena and out on trails. Walks out fast and likes to work. This horse would be an awesome pleasure / trail horse, but is also athletic enough to make a rope horse, team penner, gymkhana or fun day horse. The kids have worked this horse on the barrels a couple of days and he lopes through the pattern pretty nice. I have been letting the kids ride this horse here this week and Katie says she likes riding Black Jack more than any horse I have ever had! This is a fancy horse, he is black as night has 4 white socks with a long mane and tail. Formerly a ranch horse out of New Mexico. He is sure footed, good in the rocks and is a nice mover. He is NOT spooky at all and has no buck to him what so ever. He is a joy to be around, easy to catch, great ground manners, ties, clips and stands quietly for everything. Perfect to bathe, even tolerates his face being washed. NO vices or bad habits of any kind. 100% sound, has clean legs and great feet. 15.1 hands tall, has a deep heart girth and tapes at 1100 lbs. Black Jack is very gentle but may be too responsive for a beginner level rider. I will highly recommend this horse to someone wanting a solid, sane trail horse. $5000

"SILVER"

2001 PALOMINO GELDING

GOES BOTH ENGLISH & WESTERN!

Silver is a gorgeous 16 hand Palomino gelding with a great confirmation and disposition to match. He rides quiet out on trails, walks out nicely on a loose rein and is a joy to ride outside the arena. He is not spooky at all, he is both confident and brave. Goes out alone totally fine and rides in a group fine - doesn't care if he is first, in the middle, or last. He is not buddy sour or barn sour. Silver has been ridden on the trails, ridden Western Pleasure, English Pleasure, and has started Dressage and Jumping. Silver has a BIG trot with good impulsion, but still collects and rides between the reins. Responds to half halts and leg pressure easily and likes to work. Great ground manners, ties (doesn't pull back) excellent to clip, halfpasses, sidepasses, bends, loads, hauls great and is not herd bound. No problem with barking dogs, traffic, joggers, etc. I have been ponying colts off of Silver, he is very tolerant with pestering colts and never gets grumpy at them. Ridden all summer up in Flagstaff on trails. Excellent trail horse and rides like a good broke English horse who would be great for someone who may want to start showing and have a nice horse for English lessons. He is completely gentle and has no bad habits. This is a super nice horse with a wonderful disposition. Not a mean bone in his body and likes to please his rider. Up to date on all health care, shoeing, deworming, vaccines, teeth float, etc. Super nice all around gelding that is sound and sane and gorgeous to boot! In my opinion, Silver needs a confident rider that sits a horse quietly and is comfortable on a forward-moving horse; he is best suited for a novice - intermediate or better level rider. $5000

ACESLITTLE COVERGIRL

aka "MAXINE"

2006 AQHA BLACK MARE

Maxine is offered for your consideration raised, trained and brought to you from the Z3 Ranch. For those of you that know the Zanardi's, you know how much pride they take in raising some of the finest quality horses around.

The Zanardi's owned Maxine's SIRE YSEVEN S BALDY proven ROPE and BARREL Racing horse. I have ridden him myself and he is one heck of a horse with a wonderful disposition. He is also the sire of my good horse Splash.

Maxines DAM, RIPPERS LITTLE FLASH was an outstanding PRCA Calf Roping horse that won over $150,000 in her lifetime. Here is a picture of her at the DODGE NATIONAL CIRCUIT FINALS. Maxine's grandmother was also owned by the ZANARDI'S and she has a long of credentials just as impressive including making it to the NATIONAL FINALS RODEO in 1995. I have enjoyed watching this mare grow up over the years along with many of her siblings.

Maxine is a gorgeous jet black mare with all the chrome and everything in the right places. She is conformationally correct and moves great. She is 5 years old, 15 hands tall, and weighs 1140 lbs. Maxine has a wonderful disposition and is a joy to be around. She has been hauled everywhere the Zanardi's have went since she was 2 years old and is very quiet around events and commotion. She has been started roping, heeling the Heel O Matic and has about 50 steers steer stopped on her, She scores good and runs into position well. She has been patterned on the barrels and poles, she has been brought along slowly and correctly and is just starting to lope the pattern. She is very laid back and rides very calm and quiet. She has been ridden out on trails through washes, rivers, up and down hills and rocky terrain.

If you are looking for a head turner Maxine is the one. I am shocked at the amount of people that have stopped me at Horseshoe Park to give compliments on how gorgeous she is or what a nice horse she is. You can look for days on the Internet and you wont find another mare this gorgeous, with this confirmation, out of a proven sire and dam with these credentials. She has been started right and has NO vices or issues whatsoever. She has clean legs, has never been hurt and is 100% sound and healthy. She will excel in whatever discipline that you put her in. She would be best suited for a novice or better level rider and someone that can ride her a few days a week. If you are interested in purchasing Maxine, you will need to schedule an afternoon or evening appointment, she will be shown by her owners in Queen Creek. She is offered to a great home only, must have shade and be able to give this mare the finest care available. $12,000

DOCS SMOKIN CHROME

aka "SMOKEY"

1998 DOUBLE REGISTERED

AQHA / APHA CHESTNUT GELDING

Fancy little MR GUNSMOKE / DOC BAR bred gelding, with 4 white stockings, one blue eye, and a blaze face. 14.3 hands tall, 950 lbs. This horse is broke exactly the way I like them! He is push button, very light in the bridle and rides wonderfully in just an o-ring snaffle. Automatic with his leads, light footed and really rides between the reins. Soft and supple, bends, flex's, side passes, excellent stop, he does it all! VERY smooth little jog and lope; you can sit his jog without posting. I know the trainer that started this horse. Smokeys was started right and hasn't been used hard. He has NO buck to him, even when he was started as a colt. 100% sound with clean legs. Has cattle experience, was started heeling when he was younger and last owner has done a little Team Penning on him. Quiet on trails, he is alert and will look at things but is not a spooky horse. I have had him flinch in place 1 time, but hasn't spooked at anything. Very brave, rides out alone, is not buddy or barn sour. Crossed over the bridge without a bobble very first time I asked him to. Does not freshen up - in fact the first time I rode Smokey he hadn't been ridden in 6 months. With no round penning or longing he rode quiet even being here in a new environment. A fancy little horse that is a true pleasure to ride. Not a dead head, I would prefer to see a novice or better level rider on this guy. Great disposition, very nice to be around and very friendly. Barefoot sound in an arena, but would be better with shoes if you ride in a rocky area. Good home a must. Horses this nice don't come along very often. Excellent all around horse for anything you want to do. Video soon!

"SNICKERS"

Nice little bay gelding!

UPDATE - Snickers was ridden by Maddie Pitte in the 8-10 age group at the Queen Creek Gymkhana October 23rd and won RESERVE CHAMPION at his 2nd gymkhana ever!

Snickers is a true ranch broke gelding. He has spent most of his life being ridden on the ranch as a working cow horse. He is very well broke and really rides between the reins. Has an excellent stop and is easy to control. He is a small framed horse that is about 14 hands tall. This is one of those hard to find solid horses who has been there and done that.

Snickers is currently being ridden here at the house by girls ages 9-12 years old. He really is a wonderful trail horse and is currently starting to practice some gymkhana patterns. With only 4 days of practice, Jeralyn who is 9 years old rode Snickers at the Queen Creek Gymkhana at Horse Shoe Park on October 9th, and took home a 2nd, 3rd, and two 4th place ribbons and ended up 4th place in the high point for the day!

I feel Snickers is best suited for a confident beginner level (or better) rider. He walks out nice and really has a ground covering trot which is pretty nice to ride. His ground manners are excellent, stands perfectly quiet to be bathed, groomed and tacked up. This is one of those hard to find solid horses who has been there and done that. He is currently being ridden barefoot and is completely sound. He is up to date on deworming and his hoof trim. Snickers is 15 years old, and 14.1 hands tall. $1450

"LUCY"

CUTE LITTLE BUCKSKIN MARE

Just in time for Christmas!

Lucy is 11 years old, and 13.3 hands tall. She is a small horse and weighs about 825 lbs. This little mare has a special place in my heart. Lucy was a little ranch horse I purchased last year as a kids horse and Lucy gave us a little surprise! Unknown to everyone, Lucy must have gotten pregnant when she was turned out (before I purchased her) and gave us a beautiful little colt this summer! Lucy's colt has now been weaned and was placed in a great home to one of the volunteers that help me exersize the horses. Lucy has been in my program for close to a year now and was ridden here at the house and on the ranch by kids. Lucy is true ranch broke mare and has been a working ranch / trail horse all her life. She rides very quiet out around the neighborhood and goes out by herself or with other horses. Lucy is back under saddle after being unridden for many months, and is riding wonderfully! I was able to saddle Lucy and with no round penning or longing she rode off out on a trail ride by herself and was great! Lucy is not bothered by the trash truck, bikers, joggers, barking dogs, and even the train! She is up to date on vaccinations, hoof trim, and deworming. She is thin after having her foal on her side but is gaining weight fast now that he has been weaned. A very sweet little mare that wants to please.

$1250 now through Christmas sale price!

SMOKES FIRST CHOICE

aka "BEAMER"

1995 AQHA RED DUN GELDING

FINISHED HEAD, HEEL & BREAKAWAY HORSE!

He's GAITED and super smooth to ride!

Beemer is a pretty 15.1 Hand Red Dun Gelding who is just a cool horse! On top of being a finished rope horse, he is GAITED and super smooth to ride! Beamer is sound, sane, very well broke and absolutely gentle for anyone to ride. Very gentle, not a dead head, has get up and go if you ask him for it. Stands quietly for the farrier, to bathe, groom, clip, tack up and mount. Super quiet on trails, not spooky. Doesn't care if he is first or last in a group. Excellent on trails both out in the rocks and mountains or in the city. Beamer has carried flags in the grand entries at Rodeos and has been hauled all over. This horse has a wonderful disposition, great ground manners and is a joy to be around. No vices or issues of any kind, No bucking. Does NOT freshen up, just step on and go even if he hasn't been ridden in a month. Rides the same every time, ever if he hasn't been ridden for a month. Solid as a head horse, heel horse or breakaway horse. Awesome Jr Rodeo horse. No issues in the box what so ever, stands and scores perfectly. Loads and hauls great, jumps in the trailer on his own. Great ground manners, ties, doesn't pull back, a pleasure to be around. Gets along with other horses well. This is a great All Around horse that you can enjoy to ride and do just about anything on. Don't over look this horse, he is the real deal and will give you many years of safe enjoyable rides for you and your family! Dad can go win money on him on the weekends and mom and the kids can ride during the week. $3850

"IMPERMISSIVE DANCER "

aka "BUDDY"

2002 AQHA Gelding

Patterned on the barrels and poles! Really well broke and rides between the reins. This is a nice gentle horse that rides exactly the same every time. Does not freshen up, no buck to him what so ever, not spooky. Let him stand in a stall, get on and go. This horse is nice to ride both inside the arena and out on trails. Needs an intermediate rider because he is very forward moving. Buddy is eager to please a person and will really try for you. He does get chargy on the barrel pattern so needs someone who is able to hold him back or that can ride a free runner. He is ridden here at my house by girls ages 9-12 years old with no problems, but they are good riders.

"DINERO"

2002 PALOMINO GELDING

Great CONFIDENCE builder!

If you are looking for a confidence builder, come meet Dinero. He is as gentle as they come. 15.3 - 16 hands, 9 years old. Absolutely a wonderful disposition on a gorgeous horse. Suitable for beginner level riders. No vices or issues of any kind. $6500

"STERLING"

2005 GRAY GELDING

This is a fancy little gelding that has been ranch broke and really rides between the reins. One of my favorites for sure! Sterling has a great neck rein, a smooth little jog, and a good stop. He is 14.3 hands tall and weighs 1000 lbs. He has tons of cattle experience and has been rode outside on the ranch in all types of terrain.

This horse likes to please and will go great in just about any discipline you put him in. He is very smart a quick learner. Picking up the barrel pattern as fast as any horse I have ever seen. Rides great both in the arena and outside on trails. Doesn't matter if he is first or last in a group. Quiet around all the city stuff or out in the mountains. NO vices or issues of any kind.

Currently being started on the barrel pattern and ridden by kids ages 9-12 here in the arena. We hauled Sterling to the Queen Creek Gymkhana October 9th, and he did great! He was ridden by the little girl in the pictures; it was only her second time ever riding Sterling. He cruised through the barrel pattern and bowtie very nicely after only a couple days practice. He didn't win any events because he just isn't going fast enough yet, but really did wonderful. Stayed calm and quiet around all the commotion and chaos that happens around a large equestrian facility like Horse Shoe Park. Was not spooky at all. Very quiet and laid back, a push style horse. I see a lot of potential in this horse, he sure is calm and quiet for his age.

Watch the video, and keep in mind this horse is only 6 years old. You can look on the Internet all day and drive the wheels off your truck trying to find a horse this nice and gentle. Sterling is the real deal and he is absolutely gentle for anyone to ride. Doesn't freshen up; rides the same every time. One of my favorites. $3850

DOC TRIPOLAY

aka "DOC"

1998 AQHA Palomino Gelding

Doc is a super sweet Palomino gelding that anyone can ride. He is 14.3 H tall and tapes at 1000 lbs. He has great bloodlines with DOCS PRESCRIPTION and DOC BAR on his papers. This is a no nonsense, easy to ride horse that is very laid back and easy going. Doc has tons of trail riding experience, and has even won some trail classes! He winters here in the valley where he has been ridden on numerous trails around the state. He is perfectly quiet around traffic and ridden at large equine events such as Horse Shoe Park with all of the commotion. In the summers he winters up North in Pinedale, AZ where he gets ridden in mountain terrain. He has been on camping trips, crossed water and stands quietly while tied on picket lines. Doc rides quietly on trails and will go first or last in large groups. Doc has also had a rope swung off of him and has cattle experience. He is a friendly horse, very easy to catch, stands perfectly still to bathe, groom, wash, clip, tack up and mount. Not cinchy, doesn't pull back, he has NO hidden vices or issues. Doc has clean legs, no evidence of any arthritis and travels 100% sound. Doc is gentle enough for a beginner level rider, but did get a little stubborn in the arena with a girl who was a complete beginner after she let him eat some hay - nothing bad, he didn't act up, he just tried to turn around and go back to the hay with her. In my opinion, he is just best suited for someone who is fairly confident and has enough experience to correct a small mistake like this and he is a wonderful horse. He will ride out and away from the barn and his buddies with ease, and is not barn sour at all. Doc is ridden a couple times a week here at my house by girls ages 9-12 with no problems at all; in fact, Doc is one of their favorites to ride. The girls have even ridden Doc bareback on a very windy day while my colts were running and playing around him and he stayed just as quiet as ever. This horse is about as gentle as they come, not spooky at all, does not freshen up if not ridden for long periods. Doc hadn't been ridden in 6 weeks when I got him, and with no round penning or longing, he rode off completely quiet and gentle. Doc rode perfect his very time around my neighborhood. He wasn't bothered by barking dogs, trash cans, the garbage truck, or joggers. He didn't even spook at the neighbors donkey when he ran up to the fence and that donkey scares a lot of them. He is up to date on deworming, fall vaccines, farrier and teeth. Needs to go to a rider that has soft hands. $3800

Doc in Pinedale, AZ.

"FADL'S CROSSIN JORDAN"

aka "SPOTTY"

Awesome POA Mare!

Spotty is an awesome little pony that is ready to go win! She has been showing since last September, and has won a ribbon in every class she has been in, with several champions and reserves. She has been shown exclusively by kids, ages 5-11. Her divisions have been: Cross rail hunter, cavaletti hunter, walk/trot, hunter in hand, sport horse under saddle, children's equitation, English pleasure, novice hunter under saddle, and more. Spotty has competed against all different breeds, and easily beats them out because of her gorgeous head set and nice, flowing gaits. We have shown her at EVAHA, Copper State, CEP, and Southwest Specialties horse shows. Spotty is 13.3hh, 6 years old, and was originally broke to compete in show trail classes. We turned her into a hunter/jumper prospect after seeing her big movement, and she has jumped 3'6" easily, with the potential to go higher. Jeralyn showed her over fences in the cross rails division, and she won reserve champion her first time out. As far as out on the trails, we have gone up and down mountains, through washes, mud, rocks, roads, deserts, sand, and everything else. Spotty goes out alone or in groups, isn't barn or buddy sour, and is very brave. She is solid on the trail, enough for me to trust her with a 6 year old (who is a good rider, but still little!) We have started working with her a little bit on gymkhana patterns, and she has a lot of fun at it, though she is very inexperienced. She ties, clips, bathes, loads, and stands for the shoer. Extremely affectionate, very curious, loves treats, toys and attention. Spotty is very gentle but not a dead head, she would be best suited for a novice (or better) level rider. $2800!

"GATOR"

Awesome all around pony!

Gator is an awesome little pony that has done it all! He is very brave and is named after the All-Terrian vehicles called Gators, because he will go anywhere. He is super quiet out on trails and is not spooky. He has been trail ridden around the city stuff and out in the desert and mountains. He is great in rocky terrain and doesn't care if he is first or last in a group. He is easy to catch out in a large pasture and gets along with other horses well. He can easily be ridden bareback with a halter and has never offered to buck. Gator is not one of those mean or spoiled little ponies, he is very willing and goes wherever you point him. He is NOT barn sour and has no bad habits or vices. He has been hauled to gymkhana's and won $50 and high point at the last CVSC and has won all around at the Queen Creek gymkhana. Ridden English he is currently jumping 2' 3". He also has been team penned on and is great around cattle. Gator stands quietly for kids to bathe groom and climb all over him. He is sound and healthy and has clean legs. He is currently being ridden barefoot and is barefoot sound. He is 10 years old and 12.2 hands tall. Good ponies like this are hard to find, and he is only being sold because the little girl that has been riding him has just outgrown him and has moved up to a horse. $2000

"RIO"

2 words to best describe this horse:

"Confidence Builder"

Congratulations to the Neilsons, Pine Valley Utah!

Rio is a 10 year old gelding that I sold to a client back in 2007. Rio was organdy off of the ranch and has been used as a pleasure trail horse since. He has been ridden by my client over 1000 miles out alone camping on the trails and through the wilderness. (See photo below) In all my years of being in the horse business, I would rate Rio as being one of the most unflappable and gentle horses that I have ever had. Take a look at Rio's video. None of the video was rehearsed; all footage was taken from the first time. We did no prior desensitizing for the flag or sparklers, he really is that gentle. Rio has a super comfortable little jog trot when asked and is very comfortable to ride. He is best suited as a pleasure trail horse because he has no interest in going fast. It takes a good cue to move Rio up into a lope and I do not think he would make a performance horse. Rio is suitable for just about any level rider, and he would be an awesome confidence builder as he is so easy going and laid back. It is very difficult to find horses as quiet as Rio. He is easy to catch, ties and stands quietly to bathe, groom, shoe, tack up, clip or whatever you want to do. He is healthy and sound and has clean legs. He has NO vices of any kind. He is a very sweet horse and is a pleasure to be around. For those of you that know me, know that I do not use the words bomb proof or safe when describing a horse. I will say that he is as close as you are going to get. Horses like Rio are the kind that making riding fun again and stress fee. He is 15.2 hands tall.

"PARTNER"

A super nice gelding!

Congratulations to Carole in Big Pine, CA!

Here is an opportunity to own a gelding that is as well broke as he is pretty! I was excited to be able to offer this horse for sale as I have got to see firsthand over the years at what a nice horse this is. Partner has been ridden on many of my group trail rides and camping trips over the last 5 years. He is very well broke and rides best in just an O-ring snaffle. Partner is very responsive and picks up his leads easily; side passes, and is so broke you can almost ride him with your seat and body language. He has a super smooth lope that is just an absolute dream to ride! This is the kind of horse that I enjoy riding because he is a Cadillac and is so light and easy to control. He has had Clinton Anderson Foundation level groundwork and riding training.

Partner is good on trail rides and will go out alone or in groups of all sizes. He is fine being ridden in the front or back when on group rides. He is happy to plod along slow or will walk out fast, and is good in the rocks. He has been horse camping, and is good tied on a high line and is use to electric fence. He will willingly cross water, even fast running water up to his belly. He has been ridden through tunnels and will stand patiently when tied to the trailer. He loads easily into a stock trailer or slant load. (We have never tried a side by side.) Partner also has cattle experience and is great to go Team Sorting on! He is easy to catch, halter and tack up. Great to clip, stands nicely to be bathed and good for the farrier.

One of the best things about Partner is that he does not freshen up if you don't ride him often. No health issues of any kind, up to date on vaccinations and teeth floating; just shod, dewormed, and had his sheath cleaned. He has clean legs and is sound. Partner is 14 years old. He is unregistered and is most likely a mixed breed. He has the confirmation of a Quarter Horse, enough chrome to be considered Paint, and the pretty little face of an Arabian.

I feel that this horse is best suited for a novice or better level rider. While Partner is very gentle he is a little watchy and suspicious in new situations. This horse is not a dead head, he will move right out of you ask him and is probably too responsive for a beginner level rider. So why would such a great horse be for sale you ask? Only because Partner is my friend's husbands horse; her husband has a bad back and riding horses aggravates his back issue so he just doesn't ride anymore. It is hard for them to sell a horse they are attached to, so that is why they are relying on me to find Partner a great home.

Partner is offered for sale at a very reasonable price of $3500

Oh, and I am supposed to add that he loves carrots and apples; and that he is really, really cute! :)

"SL FOOLS GOLD FROST"

aka "FROSTY"

2006 AQHA Gelding

WOW, WOW, WOW!

Congratulations to Pamela, Wickenburg, AZ!

Someone PLEASE come buy this horse as I am trying so hard not to fall in love with him!

Frosty is the kind of horse that I would absolutely purchase for myself in a heartbeat! There is not one single thing about him that I do not like. He is 5 years old, 15.1 hands tall and really quiet and gentle. Frosty's sire, dam, and dam sire are all PROVEN barrel and performance horses! This horse is very sweet, no issues or vices and is 100% sound. He was started right, ranch broke and ridden. He has cattle experience and has had lots of miles ridden on the ranch so he is not just an arena horse. Rides great outside, good in the rocks and rough terrain. Doesn't care if he is first or last on a group ride. He is very tolerant, I have used him to pony colts off of. He comes from a long line of proven performance horses and goes back to PC MR SUN PEPPY, Wileywood and the great Sunfrost. He comes out of New New Mexico from a good friend of mine and has about 30 days on the barrel pattern. Frosty is smart and is already well patterned and you can tell that he has enough athletic ability that he will make a nice performance horse. He is well broke, soft in the bridle, sidepasses, flexes, bends. Very ambidextrous, picks up both leads easily and does flying lead changes. Rides great in an O-ring or gag bit. He has a great confirmation and an awesome disposition. This horse is just a pleasure to be around; you can catch him anywhere and he stands quietly for anything you want to do. Bathes (even great to wash his face) clips, ties, loads and hauls great. Likes people, but not a pushy pet. Gets along with other horses GREAT. Not a mean bone in his body, very kind, really gentle and quiet, no buck or vices of anykind. This horse came to me right off the ranch being turned out in a large pasture with a bunch of colts. He is really going to be gorgeous after being pampered and kept inside. If you want one that is a head turner and gentle enough for the kids to ride, Frosty is your horse. $7500

"BELLISSIMA "

aka "BELLA"

2002 APHA Mare

I am listing this mare as not part of my normal Super Gentle Horses program, but as a great project horse. This mare is very well bred and was started right but never finished. She went on to be a broodmare and has had 2 colts. I think this mare is gentle, really flashy and nicely put together. Current owner just does not have time to ride her and this mare has been sitting. I have seen this mare ride a little rusty after sitting for a very long time - Doesn't neck rein, direct reins only, rusty on leads and arena work. (Has good brakes though). I have seen a huge change in her when she was ridden 3 days in a row. That shows me with an experienced rider and a job she would be a pretty nice horse. Bella is easy to catch has good ground manners and is not spooky. She is not cinchy and has no vices and is sound. Currently barefoot and is barefoot sound, stands nice for the farrier. Brave, walks over/through water, over obstacles, past tarp. Never has had much spook in her - she's a real calm horse you don't have to lunge or work before riding after sitting for a few days or weeks. She would be best suited for an intermediate or better level rider that can finish a horse and keep her pointed in the right direction. $1000

*** NOTE - I do NOT have this mares APHA papers in hand so I will not be guaranteeing papers. I did post her pedigree so you can see how she is bred, but she is selling as is a grade horse. Her papers have been lost, we have talked to the APHA but it may be impossible to reach owner listed on certificate.

"MISTER TUFF J BAR"

aka "TUFF"

2002 APHA Gelding

ENGLISH or WESTERN, he does it all and looks good doing it!

Congratulations to the Pitter Family in Gilbert, AZ!

Wow, Tuff is a super nice, easy going all around gelding that just about anyone can ride. I know this horse very well and have been around him daily for the last 4 months. He is 9 years old and 15.2 - 15.3 hands tall. He is well broke and has great ground manners. He ties, stands quietly at the hitching post to bathe, groom, clip, and tack up. He is good for the farrier. Tuff has been ridden here at my house by all levels of riders, mostly by a 13 year old girl. He rides quiet in the arena, out through traffic and city stuff, and is great on trail rides in all types of terrain. We have ridden Tuff both English, Western, and bareback. He rides nicely in any kind of bit and is easy to control in just an O-ring snaffle. Tuff is patterned on the barrels and is loping the pattern. He is a ranch broke horse and has plenty of cattle experience. This is the kind of horse that can sit in his stall for a week and you can jump on him and ride him right down the sidewalk to town to get a soda, up a mountain in the desert, or swim a river. He is very quiet on trails, very brave and doesn't matter if he is first or last in a group. Tuff has been ridden by kids and grandparents on trails all over the state. Tolerant of beginners bouncing around on him. Push style horse, slightly on the lazy side. Doesn't freshen up, never needs longing or round penning before riding. He loads and hauls great. No vices or bad habits of any kind and is 100% sound. Best suited for an advanced beginner (or better) level rider. Don't miss out on Tuff, he is an awesome gelding with a great disposition! $5000

"WATCH ROYAL JACK"

aka "JACK"

1999 AQHA SORREL GELDING

A neat all around gelding that is patterned on the barrels! $3000

"WRANGLER "

Good, solid ranch broke gelding!

Wrangler is a nice solid gelding that is well broke and gentle to ride. He is 8 years old, 15 hands and tapes at 1175 lbs. He is very watchy on the ground but rides totally gentle under saddle. He needs to go to a rider who isn't looking for a "pet" and just a good riding horse. Not a beginners horse or kids horse because he has pulled back when tied solid (not so much when a horseman is around him or someone that can read horse behavior, more when someone inexperienced does something to make him uneasy on the ground). He does best and you can avoid the issue by not tying him solid and just looping his lead rope over the hitching rail. If you just drop his lead he will also ground tie. I have let this horse slip through the cracks here since he doesn't fit my Super Gentle Horses program pefectly. The good part about him slipping through the cracks is I know he can sit for long periods of time and still has NO buck to him and is not cinchy. He has a nice big wide chest, stocky build and good hard feet. He is completely sound with no health issues. This is an excellent using horse or ranch horse, he has had lots of cattle roped on him outside on the ranch. $2000

"APOLLO CREEK"

aka "APOLLO"

2001 AQHA Gorgeous sorrel gelding

Rope, barrels or would even make a nice English prospect!

Apollo Creek has spent his entire life with the breeder/owner. Apollo was raised by Duane Ellsworth and is out of his mare Queen Creek Queen (by Bunny Bid SI 104, $214,026). He is sired by APOLLO tb earner of $354,475, World Record holder at 5 1/2 furlongs, and sire of earners of more than $12,700,000.00 standing at http://www.jonesonranch.com He has had 2 outs at the track and has been ridden on the ranch and used used to sort and gather cattle on since. He has had cattle roped on him both outside and inside the arena. This horse is well broke and rides between the reins. He has no vices and is completely sound. Doesn't freshen up and has never offered to buck. Big boned, wears a #2 shoe. 10 years old, this horse tapes at 16.2 hands and has a stride that could shut the clock off. He has just been started on the barrels and feels like the kind. He is very comfortable to ride and rides honest. He has the natural ability to make a barrel horse and is smart. Apollo is very gentle, has great ground manners, and is nice to be around. He does well stalled or in a herd environment. Gets along with other horses well, not a mean bone in his body. Apollo is a big horse and is not for the faint of heart; he will look at things. When I say look at things I don't mean whirl around, but he is a looky lou and will flinch at things. Best suited for a confident rider. This is an awful nice horse for the money, no holes, what you see is what you get. Will continue to be patterned until sold. $3800

"CHIP"

Super Nice Buckskin gelding!

Chip is that hard to find good honest horse that is super well broke and rides between the reins. He is the real deal and has been rode on the ranch and used to sort and move cattle on. He has a light neck rein and a great stop. Really nice to do arena work on, he will pick up both leads and lope nice circles on a loose rein. Sit back and say whoa and he will stop. This horse will walk out fast and will go just about anywhere you point him. Chip is 11 years old, and 15 - 15.1 hands tall. This horse is a diamond in the rough, he has been in colder country and really has a long winter coat. Take a look at the photo below of Chip at work on the ranch. He is just gorgeous in the summer time! No bad habits, stands quietly to bathe groom, handle his feet, and tack up. Loads and unloads excellent and hauls great. He is the kind of horse that rides the same even if you haven't ridden him for a while. I have ridden this horse outside on trails, in the arena and hauled him out to Horseshoe Park during large events. I would say Chip is very gentle but not a dead head. I think he is best suited for a confident advanced beginner rider or better. The only issue that I can find about Chip is he does not like the electric clippers on his face. He has good hard feet and nice bone structure. He has clean legs, no blemishes and is sound. You can drive all day and you wont find another gelding this solid that rides this well for this price. $3500

"BUDDY "

Kid tested, mother approved!

If you are looking for an All Around kids horse that has been there and done a little bit of everything, look no farther!

Buddy is 11 years old, and the perfect size for a kid at 14.1 hands and 825 lbs. I sold Buddy to a friend 3 years ago who needed a horse for her 8 year old daughter Sara. Sara has trained Buddy and competed in many different disciplines such as Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Flag Race, English riding including jumping crossrails and jumps at 2' - 2'3" tall. Buddy has won money, tons of ribbons, and a high point buckle for Maricopa's high point year end awards. They have competed together at GoldStar shows, ESPBRA, PBRA, and multiple gymkhana's around the valley. Buddy has ran a 20.5 second barrel pattern at ESPBRA, and ran 21's consistently. Buddy and Sara have also ridden on trail rides all over the valley, including camping trips up north. He is an excellent little trail horse and is very sure footed. It is unknown what breed Buddy is exactly, but he can "gait" out on trails. Before Buddy became quite the kids horse, he was a ranch horse. He has cattle experience and has even had some cattle roped on him outside. He is well broke, neck reins or direct reins and picks up both leads. You can also carry flags on Buddy... pretty much anything you want to do on this guy, he will do it! He stands quietly to bathe, groom, clip, tack up, and shoe. He loves attention from kids! Buddy has no vices or issues. Stays honest, not barn sour or buddy sour. He is sound and sane. So why is such a great little horse for sale? Because Buddy has built Sara's confidence to the point to where she has outgrown him and is now riding my old barrel horse! Best suited for a kid that knows how to ride, since Buddy is fairly responsive and not a dead head. $2500

"PANCHO"

Flashy all around Paint gelding!

Talk about an all around horse, this is what you can do on Pancho:

1. Barrel Race

2. Pole bending

3. Team Pen

4. Rope (heel horse)

5. Ride / show English

6. Trail ride

Pancho is patterned on the barrels and poles and is an awesome all around 4H or gymkhana horse. He is very cowy and a neat little heel horse. He is a blast to team pen on and will do just about anything you ask. He rides both English and Western. He is 11 years old, 14 hands tall and is perfect for a kid or small adult. Pancho is very well broke and has a good handle on him. He will pick up both leads and bridles up well. He has nice gaits and is easy to ride. Pancho is very gentle and rides quiet both in the arena and outside on trails. He has no vices or health issues, has never offered to buck. He hauls great and is easy going at large events. He is not a lazy horse and steps right out, probably too forward moving for a beginner level rider. He will try to trot for the first couple minutes you ride him, so in my opinion he is best suited for a novice or better level rider. Pancho is offered for sale because the kids are too busy with school and have just lost interest in riding. This is a really cool little horse that is very versatile and so fun to ride! $3800

"JACK "

All Around kids horse!

Jack has the exact same story as Buddy. He was purchased by a friend of mine for her youngest daughter to ride. Jeralyn was 6 years old at the time, she is 9 years old now. Jack has been on numerous trail rides and camping trips all over the state, has competed in gymkhana's, ESPBRA, PBRA, and Horseshows. Jack was orginally a ranch horse and has plenty of cattle experience. He has not only competed but won tons of ribbons, money and even a year end high point buckle. Jack has ran as fast as a 19.8 in barrels at ESPBRA, and usually runs a standard pattern in about 20 seconds. He goes both English and Western and can also be ridden bareback. He is currently jumping 2'3" - 2'6". Jack is approximately 16 years old and is 13.3 hands tall. He has a sturdy frame and is fairly stocky. Jack is a wonderful all around horse that is excellent on trails and will do just about anything you ask of him. He is not barn sour or buddy sour. He is sound. Jack is priced accordingly due to his age and the fact that he has a few "quirks". He can be a little hard to catch sometimes, and isn't very fond of the clippers. He is not a loving "pet" type horse, he is more all about business and is ready to go to work for you. He will stand quietly to bathe, groom, shoe and tack up. Best suited for a kid that knows how to ride, since Jack is fairly responsive and not a dead head. $1250

Own son of WILYWOOD x ORPHAN DRIFT x DRIFTWOOD IKE!

See Jr's pedigree by clicking here!

15 hands tall, 1025 lbs. This is a nice young horse that has a great start on him. He sidepasses, picks up his leads and can really sit down and stop. He has a wonderfully SMOOTH jog that you can easily sit. He crosses water. Not lazy or too forward, he's just right. Great feet and bone, not a blemish on him. Excellent ground manners, no vices or bad habits. This horse will make a wonderful prospect for just about anything you want to do, he knows all of the basics and is ready for a job. I know this horse very well as he has been boarded at my house. Jr is currently started on the barrels and is loping the pattern. He would also excel in the roping arena as a heel horse prospect. Has natural ability to really stop. Jr was purchased by a friend who is getting married in January and has realized that at this time she does not have enough time to come and ride. Recent vet check by DR Chatham with no health or lameness issues. $4000
